In my opinion, Tiger Stadium's overall energy has been lacking since its departure. Students even if band cant play just start it, the rest of stadium will follow!! So ready for the season, Geaux Tigers!!

It was a beautiful thing when they played it after the A&M game last season.

Maybe its the fact that people leave early. Not because they leave early, but because the same lack of energy during the game is what leads to people wanted to go home early in a blowout.

The second you heard the first note it would would set the tone for the stadium. They should bring it back not because they can, but because they desperately NEED to . The stadium would go to eleven , the fans would get the message to bring it like the old days and bring back Tiger Stadium to where we were before we got jaded and corporate.

I can understand LSU not wanting STTDB being heard during the broadcast, so why not just play it during commercials?

If you take your children to the games, its only a matter of time before they hear something just as vulgar from the adult fans.

It was awesome until my 10 yr old son started chanting “Suck That Tiger Dick” in class at school.

Maybe I am naive, but I am still convinced that the moment we take a knee against Bama at home, it will be played. I bet it was queued up in 12 and 14 before we blew it.

Pretty sure that just makes even better
Yeah you always see the old people who are so appalled at it but its the greatest stadium moment there is in college football, when the band starts that song the place erupts.

Who’s gonna pay the inevitable fines every game?

Im sure if you took collections at the door you would have the money before half the stadium filled

Sounds like a good moment to be a parent and teach him behavior like that is unacceptable.

LSU has two very critical home games this year. Bring Neck Back...Old Row has been on major campaign to help us as well.

The fines are a complete myth. I have not seen one shred of actual evidence other than hearsay on this board and with friends that fines actually exist.

ETA: I love how they still teach all the band members neck as a song to play during practice. Obviously it's also so that in the moments they get the go ahead they can bust it out.

it was played in '12 prior to the yeldon screen pass. there's a shot of blake sims on the cbs broadcast doing a "suck it" motion after they score.

Not true. I was there and it definitely was not Neck. It was probably attached to another song like "All of the Lights". It came out against Ole Miss around the time of Odell's punt return to tie the game attached to that song because it has a little bit of a space to fit it in. The students will attach it to whatever they can. They should just give in and play it so they can control it and put it at commercial breaks. This administration really cracks down on any kind of fun. It's a few curse words. The horror.

People should either sit their kids down and explain to them that they may hear some words they're not used to hearing, or just leave their fricking kids at home.
