I just think it's ridiculous that songs can't be played because students can't act like normal humans

It's ridiculous that they think not playing that one song will change that behavior. College kids are always going to act that way, and they're going to do it regardless of which songs you play or don't play. Why not just play the ones everyone wants to hear anyway and drown their chants out with the band?

ETA: And yes, I'm aware the chants can be heard over the band. But It's better than when it's happened with no band playing, which has happened at least once that I've been there for.

Agreed you aren't going to convince college kids to start acting more mature they are in college and don't care how it looks, just like every college kid that came before them. All these people are just forgetting what it was like in college.

if you want Neck back and have other suggestions for stadium atmosphere and color email Dave Haskin who is newly in charge of marketing, promotion, game day experience, and such. dhaskin@lsu.edu

I don’t. Mid 2000’s, we got drunk, we yelled, we threw our bourbon drinks after touchdowns, we left and went to the bar when it was over, got more shitty, and not one band song was unavailable to us.

So are you saying if you were drunk in the stands in college you wouldn’t yell STTDB

It was awesome until my 10 yr old son started chanting “Suck That Tiger Dick” in class at school.

Yep. If it didn’t feature a chant that made the entire fan base look like trash, I’d be all for bringing it back.

could watch a porn movie with my kids and teach them that behavior like that is unacceptable. There's a big difference between hearing a random bad word from nearby fans and hearing a pre-planned and coordinated STTDB from a few hundred/thousand students.
If you can't acknowledge the difference, I don't know what to tell you.

Must suck having a kid that doesn't listen

I drink I yell. I may even sling a drink in the stands if I get excited. I however do not walk around in public telling people to suck my dick. Not when I was a kid or an adult

You’re acting like it’s walking down the street telling people to STTDB. If you were surrounded by all your friends yelling it and you would still refuse I would be surprised.

Is Tiger Rag back? Do people still yell “a-hole, a-hole”?

Tiger rag randomly started being played again a few times.

But because it was taken away a long time ago, 98% of students there even know Tiger Rag, the story, or even the a-hole part.

It's ok dude. You support a few thousand people to tell other people to suck their dicks. I think it's childish. And no I would not do it just because my buddy does. I was raised better. It's called respect

I agree it’s a bad look and trashy. I don’t support it but I don’t blame the kids because I was in college at one time and understand it. They think it’s funny and cool. If your 18-22 kid yells STTDB and that’s least the classy thing they do while at college I would say that’s a parenting win. Most college kids are railing coke in the bathrooms and doing much worse things that yelling STTDB.
