At what point do you get milazzo in lineup

We need to install a button that someone can press to make him swing. Is that a thing yet?

I've been a big supporter of Neal getting the bulk of the reps. I think it's gotten him very valuable experience. He also has a huge upside if he gets going. But, I think it's time for a more even split.

Tomorrow would be a good start. Give him the final day of a three game series some rest as well as giving Milazzo a shot.

Travinski might get some ABs

It would be nice if when he does swing, he tries to make contact instead of trying to hit a dinger every swing.

He’s being a little too picky and waiting for a little too perfect of a pitch. On top of that his understanding of the strike zone isn’t as good as he thinks it is (this weekend not withstanding. No one knew the zone).

Is correct.

Neal is sitting middle-in and trying to hit everything out of the ballpark.

It may be anecdotal, but it seems like he and Kling take a lot of good pitches. Wish they were a little more aggressive.

They need tj defend the plate.

A lot of strikes looking on borderline stuff but also pitches they need to try and foul off because the Ump isn’t doing us any favors.

Neals last called strike sucked.

Asked Neal when game 2 was starting today. He smiled and said they prolly don’t want another one. Dude is gonna be around for awhile.

I would like Travinski to get more AB's but I think his defense might be too bad to give him starts at that position.

I would like to see Milazzo more and Travinski as a late offensive substitute.

That being said. Neal has faced better pitching than Milazzo (weekend starters). He walks a lot. He also hit a lot of deep balls caught by the track. Next year, I'm hoping a lot of those leave the yard.

Neal and freshmen josh smith are similar IMO. Lots of warning track balls, gets deep into counts, just learning the strike zone at this level, some good gap balls mixed in

A young Josh Smith is a good comp at the plate. I think Neal's biggest issue at the plate is just flat out swinging and missing. I know that seems obvious, but he truly swings at good pitches for him to hit but just misses them. I think a very small adjustment with his upper body would solve that. The approach is fine. He just needs to cash in when he commits.

Agree. Milazzo needs more at bats. You know his defense is there.

Milazzo simply looks way better batting and it’s a toss up behind the plate so a no brainer.

Milazzo definitely needs some more ABs

Is the upper cut swing by Neal and Pearson something that is taught to
hitters (launch angle ) or is that their natural swing? As a get off my lawn guy it drives me nuts.

His two strike approach is what the problem is right now. Im all for letting it rip but until you can command your swing better, when you get two strikes, he needs to be more conservative. The only reason why he is in over Milazzo right now is because of his slugging potential.

This….

Or he takes a giant cut & misses the ball by about a foot & half
