If…. IF

We win out and get two wins in SEC tournament, are we in???

That puts us at 21-12

I think that IF we win our last 5 and get two tourney wins we are in

That would be incredible job by McMahon.
If only we had beaten Dayton, not lost to Nichols on that last second shot and won one more of those close sec games recently.

I think we’re all real-time processing that this could be a possibility

Whether it happens or not, tonight is the type of win that brings fans back into the fold and dreaming. Which is a good thing.

Possibly, definitely talked about.

Conference tournaments are mostly meaningless for at-large bids. 2022 Texas A&M is a great example of this.

We’d be floating around the bubble if we won out but it may not be enough

I think that would be really hard to do, but all the rest of the games are winnable. The fact that LSU beat two ranked teams in a row is a great accomplishment considering how the team looked early on. The most encouraging thing is seeing guys like Ward and Reed have two big games in a row because they have so much potential.

Conference tournaments are useless for seeding of teams already in. They are very helpful to teams on the bubble.

Ehhh I disagree. Happens every year to a team or two on the bubble that makes a solid run in their conference tournament, only to get beat out by a team that did very little in their conference tournament. See A&M and Rutgers in 2022

Let's just try to beat State Saturday night and pull even (7-7) in the SEC.

The SEC Tournament is not going to make a difference (unless LSU wins it). It should since the games are played, but the committee never puts much emphasis on it.

IF LSU were to win out they would 19-12 (6-8 away from home). The best their NET rating would probably be is in the mid 60’s. That MIGHT be enough to get them in the conversation for the “play-in” game. But it would depend on other carnage around the bubble.

Disagree, 8 teams are getting in as of now. Just have to win 4 of 5, sec ranking of 7 and 8 will be subjective.

I never understood this. These games should matter even more since they’re played on a neutral site just like march madness. Why even play the games then?

LSU not winning next 7 games. Hopefully they win a couple more and can secure a NIT bid.
