LSU not winning next 7 games. Hopefully they win a couple more and can secure a NIT bid.

I'm hesitant to say we will, but we can. Look at the schedule.

Even a couple weeks ago, I thought LSU would win their last 4. That's UGA here, at Arkansas, at Vandy, home against Mizzou. The key game now is the next one (great message, right?), Miss State here. Win that, and shite can get crazy.

Who's downvoting this? Someone doesn't want LSU to win?

LSU has a really difficult path to get in. The fact that this discussion can even begin to be had is a damn good sign though.

Disagree, 8 teams are getting in as of now. Just have to win 4 of 5, sec ranking of 7 and 8 will be subjective.

There is no set number of teams from each conference that get in. And if you want an example of how even a great closing run might not be enough ask Jordan Wright. Last year Vanderbilt did virtually nothing in non-con. play. They started SEC play 3-6. Then they got red hot. They went 8-1 in SEC play to close out the season. Of those 8 wins, 3 were on the road (one vs. then No. 23 Kentucky). They also beat (then) No. 6 Tennessee. They were the 6th seed in the SEC Tournament and won two games, including another win over Kentucky before losing to a hot Texas A&M team. Their regular season record was 18-13 (11-7)...while in the conversation, they were left out of the NCAA Tournament. The 2 wins in the SECT were completely meaningless.

Ironically, the one loss in their final 9 games may have been the thing to keep them out. That loss was to a horrible LSU team.

Be happy that LSU won these two games. Be happy there is a pulse. Hope for the very best down the stretch, but don't start setting expectations of a potential NCAAT bid.

If LSU wins out the regular season youd have to think they have at least a 50/50 shot at making the tourney tho, depending how the rest of the conference shakes out

If we get to 20 wins I reckon we would get in. Would be one of the last teams in but would be in imo.

Its a tough road I think last nights win bumped LSU only 3 spots up from 88 to 85. Until the SEC tourney their isn't a better win we can get on the schedule so we might need to beat the hell out of a few teams to get in the high 60s.
