Watching on TV and where are the fans?? The place is always packed when the Texas HS Track Championships are held there.

1) the parents of TX high school athletes live considerably closer to Austin than the parents of NCAA athletes
2) Today was mostly preliminary rounds that no one cares about

Are you saying Mondo left an attempt on the table?

I watched his last several attempts on my phone and it looked like his nuts went up in him and the moment got him. There probably is a lot of pressure to win at nationals.

Does this mean he stays at LSU for another year?

If you’re going to call out Shaver for guys getting injured, shouldn’t you also call out Boo for the guy TFN projected to place 2nd in the LJ finishing DFL among participants who registered a mark?

OP has Harrison listed at 8.80m. That would be the #3 low altitude jumper of all time behind Powell and Lewis. It was 8.20m.

Boo isn't the jumps coach but has obviously made a big impact just being a resource. When Boo is the jumps coach, he'll get more scrutiny.

How are both teams looking heading into tomorrow in terms of team title?

Yeah sorry, USTFCCCA had a typo at first, listing him at 8.80. I changed the OP

Men finished day in third place, will be surprised if they win team title.

they have zero chance due to 3 athletes hurt and Mondo finishing second.
Let’s be real, Shaver is likely out considering his boss was Henry’s boss. He is shifting to say the least.

I don't follow T&F other than Mondo. Did Kary Vincent Jr participate today?

I am not a Dennis shaver fan, but he’s not going to be fired for a top 10 finish at nationals

Kary ran the lead off leg of the 4x100 very well. Damn near ran over the second leg in the exchange zone he was moving so fast.

it is the state of the program since he took over. One season doesn’t make a career. He has won zero championships since the one that was stripped. He inherited the most successful women’s program in the nation and has let it slip.

I used to be way more critical of shaver, but the playing field simply isn’t what it used to be.

Arkansas, Oregon, and A&M have poured millions and millions into their programs. Florida has the very best coach in the country, who I doubt we could poach.

Today sucked but can’t really blame him with the injury to fluornoy

Also ghostofjackson is 100% correct in saying boo has been a major impact. I’ve been wanting Todd lane fired for years. Dude can recruit and wasn’t doing anything with the roster prior to Boo. He had damar forbes and basically everyone else has drastically underachieved. Boo clearly is helping Todd lane out
