Yeah well Ole Miss hasn’t won shite in football, NC State is fairly good basketball school. I mean I think LSU is as good as it gets but that’s the homer in me so trying to look at it without homer glasses on.

Is NC state really a fairly good basketball school? They aren’t historically that great, do they care about basketball, yes. However they are third fiddle at best in their own state. LSU pays more now and will in the future. If you can’t deliver on NIL promises you aren’t good enough in whatever sport it is.

I think we can rule out the bluest bloods from wanting Wade. It’s hypocritical but they all hate Wade.
North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas I’d say would never hire him. I think with the current land scape and what looks to be the future that LSU could fend off most schools.
People do forget that outside of Kentucky we were basically next in conference but now UF has 3 titles so they are clearly better. So maybe in sec you have Kentucky, Florida and arky that could be better. The big10 could be a threat but feel like their best teams have coaches that aren’t going anywhere

They want basketball kept down because they fantasize about college baseball getting that funding from LSU instead.

That isn’t happening. Basketball makes real money and players are elite much more NIL dependent. Baseball will be fine.
