Jared Mitchell played WR for LSU.

That’s all you need to know about how fast he was.

Again, he compared a black kid in high school to Mitchell when Derek Curiel played the same position, bats left handed and was FASTER than Mitchell coming out of high school.
He compared him to Mitchell for only 1 reason. He never looked at Curiel’s stats.

I know that you’re citing times, but I truly do not think that Curiel is actually faster than JMitch was.

The number of grown arse men who are obsessed with up and down votes on this board amazes me.

Maybe it’s because J Mitch is a highly regarded, very well spoken, outfielder that played for LSU and was very fast. He also happened to be black. I think his post is pretty innocent and you might be reaching a bit here.

Why? Have you listened to our youth speak? “Well-spoken” is a bit more rare than it should be.

Well it’s not going to. As long as people speak well and others do not, people will use this phrase.

According to MLB scouting sites, they were projecting him to go in 3rd round.

This kid is about an inch or so shorter than Curiel, but the same weight, bats and THROWS left like Curiel (Mitchell threw right), is a contact hitter like Curiel (MLB questioned the power like Curiel), plays the same position and is a little faster than Curiel who was faster than Mitchell coming out of high school, is great with the media for his age like Curiel, and is a highly rated high school baseball player like Curiel.
Both him and Curiel are minorities.
Mitchell weighted more than this kid coming out and played football.
This kid didn’t play football in high schoolfrom what I can find.
I mean he has FAR FAR more comps to Derek than Mitchell.

He saw a fast, black guy and immediately went to Mitchell. Why not Leon Landry? Landry played centerfield was fast as hell and a damn good ball player. He did it because Mitchell is black and on that podcast and SEC Network. That’s why he did it.

Ok we get it. All whities are racist. Its racist to say a black person is well spoken. And whatever other stock lines/beliefs yall were given to use.

Can we get back to baseball now?

What a dumb fricking thing to say. You obviously have no clue what “well spoken” means. I’ll help you out, it has absolutely nothing to do with the color of someone’s skin.

Admins need to nuke this thread from orbit.

Bunch of dumbasses had to taint a great story about a young man's decision to play for LSU with their usual bullshite.
