This is what happens when you let a fan base run your program!!!!!!

There were lots of folks on this board who swore we made the wrong choice in passing on him

Florida's winning percentage after Urban Meyer left is now .594 (98-67).
The winning percentage during 6 seasons with Meyer was .813.

I really enjoyed watching the gators fans doing the upside down U after scoring their first TD while being down 17-3.

Bargain Bin Billy. Can’t believe a few losers on here wanted to hire him
Yeah since we all knew he would suck
Get real. He did really well before he went to Florida. Just wasn’t as good as advertised.
Woodward did the right thing and paid out the arse for the proven coach.

He’s gotta to stop calling plays
I said this when he was at UL. He’s got a million analyists and assistants yet can’t get out of his own way when it come to offense and play calling. He got away with it in the sunbelt, but it’s clearly obvious against better competition he has zero clue how to call a game.

Speaking of Saban he may get that call first because you know he’s available he could bring that program back idc how old he is but ultimately I think lane is going to get the call!

He may be a good coach at one level but not at the next.

He had his pants pulled down and had that arse spanked on national TV ..
that’s a bad omen in gatorville

Florida signed Napier in December 2021 to a seven-year, $51.8 million contract. Buyout to fire him is 85% of the remainder.
That’s about $25 mil to walk…if this keeps up, he’ll be gone before the end of the season.

Gator message boards are on melt down and a blast to read. They think they are on Vanderbilt or Mississippi State football level. Most want Kiffin.

UL Lafayette should offer him his old job back.
Why downgrade?
Do you really think Napier is a downgrade from Desormeaux?

The problem with college/NFL head coaching hires is that they do not put 1/10th the importance on the IQ of a coach. The industry is a good ole boy system and you have to know someone or be in the loop to get a job.
Mike McDaniel should be the absolute definitive model for head coaching search. If you're going to spend $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 a year on an employee, he better be damn absolute perfect. Listen to Billy Napier talk. He sounds like straight from Livingston Parish or De Soto Parish or Halfway between Monroe and Baton Rouge where it's straight hick. Guaranteed he got a sub 20 on the ACT. His brain isn't capable of what it takes to be a Saban or Mike McDaniel.
If I'm LSU AD, I'm recruiting Grad Assistants or whatever role pay level it takes to get Harvard, MIT, Yale, Stanford graduates. Just have 15 of them coaching. I can absolutely guarantee if they are able to recruit, that'd LSU would be the next Bama.
