Tiger tracker. I was not rude, just curious. Had a quick but pleasant conversation with bunches of folks. I fully realize that those folks bought the tickets and they have rights and lead busy lives. (None busier than myself, I promise) but u must admit. The tiger stadium of old needs to come back. It does maybe take some sacrifice. It's just a shame seeing how we look on tv these days. Even you probably agree with that right?

The hilarious thing is how the excuses change based on time of the game.

It's too hot

It's too cold.

It's too late.

It's too early.

It's too long.

Leaving early during a blowout so people can beat the traffic is not new, for any team. I've been doing it for decades, going back to when I went to games with my dad.

If it's a close game, we stayed the whole game. This is not exclusive to LSU fans. Seriously, how many times have you watched a game on TV, saw that the game was made out of reach for the loser (especially if it was the home team), and heard the announcers pan the crowd and remark that "they're starting to head to the exits here in _______ staduim?"

It happen all the time, everywhere. Don't act like it's an "LSU has the worst fans" moment.

When a bunch of people get together like at a game we all have to realize that it'll take time to leave. What, other places don't have traffic after games? Those folks need not go. If traffic jams after a huge event can't be planned for THAN STAY HOME and there will be no traffic

I am sick and tired of people that have the attitude that I paid for my ticket so I can do anything I want.

What pussies.

bullshite. I offer two of my tickets to nearly everyone I know and my wife knows at our respective workplaces and hardly ever does someone take them.

It's super easy to give away Alabama or Florida tickets, just not the others.

The truth is the actual tiger fans are mostly at the game. Also, the games like USM and smaller schools are the games I bring my kids to. Next weekend I will stay the whole game but will be without the kids.

This a combination of things. Traffic, children and alot is going to be breaking the habits that came along with MILES boring gameplay.

It should be all good this coming weekend.

I have to watch on tv as i can't afford to make the trip, but I'm not convinced that this is some LSU fan problem. Most teams have that issue against a non conference opponents with the game in hand.

It was a done game by end of 3rd quarter. If i had pressing matters or the wife is tired etc. Etc. of course i would leave to beat the traffic. The traffic is HORRIBLE. It will be full for the upcoming schedule.

I just dont understand the point of "polling people". You know nothing about someone from one sentence or friendly discussion, and they likely won't tell you "well you know i have church and i live hours away" or "well my babysitter is still on the clock and my child is also sick." Even if they are leaving early just to get some rest it makes them "selfish"?

I mean how would you honestly propose to fix this issue? I'd be very curious as to your response.

So OP, you yourself didn't go to the game, but you feel compelled to call out those who did but left early. You are such a bitch. What's the problem? Too poor to get tickets? There were plenty available. Why didn't you step up? Oh that's right, you just go for the tailgate not the game. But you clean up! What a Tiger!
Oh and BTW, we leave early cause we CAN.

Yes, because all students live on campus
However, I am not a proponent of leaving early, especially just to beat traffic

I honestly don't understand where some people park, and where they are going after the game. I live 15 miles from campus, have stayed till 0:00 for every game since I can remember. There have been 2 or 3 times in the past 10 years that is taken more than 25 minutes to get home. I am usually disappointed because I am home before the post game radio call in show starts. I would enjoy listening in my truck, but have to turn on the radio at home if I want to listen. My point is, with better planning, and a little bit of fore thought traffic is not an issue, just an excuse. I love hearing people say " I left when the 4th quarter started and only spent 1 hour in traffic". I usually respond with, "I stayed the whole game and only spent 15 minutes in traffic, maybe you should have stayed..."

You honestly don't realize some people take their whole day to drive in with their families and drive back home the same night? So good for you for only being 15 miles away. Some fans have to sacrifice more travel time.

So, you are saying people have traffic for hours, the entire way on I10 to lafeyette or on 190 to Eunice? I don't know, as I live in BR, but I thought the issue was traffic getting off campus. Am I seeing it wrong? Getting off campus, as long as you don't intentionally go though the middle of campus or across to the other side, should take more than 15-20 mins with some planning.

Students either live on campus and walk or live close. It's not like they're leaving early to go study or go to bed. Just stay. I'd like to see some kind of time lapse photos of the student section in the 4th quarter over many years. It didn't used to be this way. I'd like to know what years it really started to thin out regularly at halftime?

These stupid fuqs that leave early should be tazed on their way out of the stadium. Absolutely pathetic. Our group was still there 30 mins after the final gun. And yes, we were in some traffic but only 30 minutes as we made our way up SB to River Road to highland. Its worth it IMO. I'm not driving in from Shreveport to leave at halftime.
