Cowpens Battlefield?

Grew up in Spartanburg. Lived northern part of upstate, southern part, Greenville, kind of all over the area. If you enjoy the mountains it’s a great area. Only 4 hours from the coast as well. Greenville is not the same place it use to be. Lot of people come here and see it’s not as backwards as people think.Lot to do, but there are still same backwards places. Lol

Yeah. So did I many many beers ago. Haven’t been out in Spartanburg in 30 years. Hope you had a good time. Downtown Greenville has some pretty cool places to go. Depending on your age.

Why are there so many Clemson fans in Greenville?

It's about 30-45 minutes away from Clempson.

When I wear my LSU gear here in Virginia I get, "Go Vikings or Go East Carolina" and they see it up close and are like, ok.

Greenville belongs to Furman, not Clemson.

Tell them to leave town.

Furman ugh. Talk about a stuck up bunch.

I do love Greenville too. Nice folks and close to mountains and beach. It’s nice to have cooler weather up here too. That said, all these mofos are Tigerbait!!

I lived in Highlands, NC for a couple of years and my main running buddy was a golf pro who had played for Clemson. I went to a few games with him and had a blast. Love the whole area.

Highlands is a beautiful area. You must do well to live there.

I think if some LSU fans would come up for the weekend when the two play in a few years they would actually find it nice and have a good time.

We left there in 16 to come back home,...great town. 1/2 way between clemson and columbia so its usually 50/50. Theres a spattering of tiger fans, loyal p&g, but lots of other fans living in town...even New Englanders they call half backers, moved down to FL and moved 1/2 way back.

Clemson people are good people for the most part. Theres a small Sampling of elitists who view themselves as creme de la creme, but always polite.

When we played them on bowl and lost back in 12 (?) everybody was good hearted about it.

They dont like the Death Valley deal though. Not one bit.

Yeah there is a lot of money there. I know this stupid to some people but lot of times on a pretty day my wife and I will drives from Greenville up to Flat Rock and Hendersonville to Asheville or to WCU down to Highlands, then Walhalla to Clemson back to Greenville. Beautiful area.

ETA: And 99% of you have no idea of these towns or give a damn but if you’re up this way it’s a nice drive through the mountains
