Let's give State a win over Arkansas and losses to OM and Bama, keeping everything else the same. The head to head records of the four teams would be LSU (2-1), Ole Miss (2-1), Bama (1-2), and MSU (1-2). That would eliminate Bama and State, and we re-run the tiebreakers with just LSU and Ole Miss. In this scenario, LSU wins that as well, and would win the tiebreaker and go to Atlanta... I think. Am I doing SEC tiebreakers correctly?

I'm going with 5-way tie with SEC West winning out vs non SEC West teams.
ole miss/state/auburn/bama/lsu
2 losses each:
ole miss - lsu/auburn
auburn - bama/state
state - bama/ole miss
lsu - state/auburn
bama - lsu/ole miss

this scenario requires some road wins-
Auburn@Ole Miss
Ole Miss @Arkansas
State@KY
LSU @Ark, @A&M
Bama @Tenn

and some home upsets-
Ole Miss over State
LSU over Ole Miss, LSU over Bama
Bama over State, Bama over Auburn

all pretty realistic except the LSU stuff. BUT our tough games ARE at home....

So in this scenario I believe it comes down to SEC East opponents' records

Here are the opponents:
BAMA: UF, Tenn
Ole Miss: Vandy, ten
State: ky, vandy
bama: florida, tenn
aub: uga, south carolina
lsu: ky, uf

i think after that it's coin flip?

You're delusional. We struggled to beat a bad Florida team. We're just not good this year. We'll lose a few more this year. Deal with it.

Tie breakers have changed i am assuming, dont know them. 3 way tie used to be the lowest ranked bcs team was out, re do tie breaker with other two teams.

It really isn't that crazy to imagine state losing 3 games. They've never had success like this before and it wouldn't shock me at all if they drop a couple they shouldn't. They still are Mississippi state after all

But having said that, we aren't winning out. So it doesn't matter

If one team is undefeated vs the other two, then that team wins the tiebreaker

I'm not trying to be a downer here but have you watched us play this year? As much as I would love for this to happen, it's not.

The defense made improvements vs UF.

My biggest concern is handling the motion out of the backfield. When we are in man, the MLB leaves the middle of the field and the QB has a cakewalk up the middle.

More zone would solve that but take away our biggest strength on D which is man coverages.

I like the way you are thinking! Just might be good enough to get us in the BCS championship game - assuming everything works out similar to 2007 at end of regular season. I'll go with your projections. Make sure the team sees this scenario. Might get them fired up to win out as well. Geaux Tigers!
