My only reasoning on why CBS chose Alabama vs A&M over our game last night...

Handshake agreement to let ESPN have the LSU/UF game for the future CBS primetime showing of LSU/Alabama on 11/9..

Did the Georgia v ND game not count as the CBS primetime game??

I'm thinking so. That game last night should have had 230 CBS written all over it.

This has been well theorized by not only Tiger Droppings but the media as well

I don't understand the ins and out but does CBS get 2 primetime games each year?
Not that it matters -- if it's a home game, we go. If it's an away game, we watch.

Hopefully letting Kirk and Fowler call the game on CBS is part of that agreement

I think they threw AUB/LSU in there as well. LSU/BAMA has the potential to be the highest rated CFB game of the season. Maybe of all time? It's worth CBS trading LSU'S two home games for a chance to broadcast Burrow winning the Heisman in primetime.

I wish. Danielson is going to be insufferable.

He's from the Midwest and has no dog in this hunt. If it seems like he's too complimentary of Bama, maybe it's because they've been the dominant team in the conference for a decade.

Danielson is good, no doubt. That doesn't mean he can't be insufferable at times.

I suppose that’s possible but you are looking at like an LSU fan. An LSU that probably hates Texas A&M and thinks they suck and overrated and also a fan that thinks thinks like TV schedules are based entirely on merit.
A TV executive sees it a little differently. The see the #1 team vs another ranked team that has a huge fan base and also that they had Florida last week and have a couple other games coming up as well as a couple LSU games coming up they will take

No nut the theory is that CBS allowed ESPn to put LSU-UF in primetime and will allow them to put LSU-AUB primetime in exchange for ESPN allowing CBS to have a second primetime game this season for LSU-BAMA
Nothing has been said from either network but Mascona mentioned it, it had been mentioned here and I believe other media members have atleast shared that theory

Except the LSU Auburn game time has not been picked yet. I believe we find out tomorrow.

I'm glad it was on ESPN. Watching CBS is like having teeth pulled. Too long, too many commercials, and Gary Danielson.
