a few years from now!

The night of Jan 9, 2012 for LSU will be Bama's Jan. 7, 2019, but worse!!

LSU was rolling, killing opponents, but stifled in the NCS game....only to follow with a few disappointing years.

BAMA, best team EVER in college football, killing folks, most prolific offense, yada, yada,yada....and then POOF!!!

So, Bama will be hard pressed to match the dominance of the last few years, especially with a resurgent Georgia, Florida, A & M, and LSU....we'll see, just my prediction.

I just don’t see it, as much as I’d like to. Bama returns most of their O, minus a few great linemen. Tua, 2 stud RB’s & their top 4 receivers return. They will still score a ton of points. If Jalen transfers & Tua gets injured, THEN I could see the wheels fall off. They do lose their entire DL, but we know they have studs waiting in the wings. Plus, their young secondary will be strong. And they have one of the best classes EVER coming in.

I agree, they won’t be AS good, but I bet they’re in the playoffs next year.

Hasn't that been the case for the last 10 years? Until some of the talent they really want starts going elsewhere regularly they will still be there every year.

Alabama has the #1 recruiting class for like 5 years in a row. LSU has recruited well but not consistently that good.

I think this is premature in the fact Saban is on the sidelines in Tuscaloosa while LSU had Miles who had started to lose that spirit he once had.

Until that little midget gets caught red handed giving keys to a free Dodge Charger to every recruit they sign while having sex with a dead 8-year-old, Bama will keep rolling.

The only thing that will hurt that program right now is being put on probation and having their scholarships limited severely, but who's gonna dare turn them in. Even if someone does turn them in, who's gonna look into it, then do something about it?

If a bunch of eligible juniors declare, then yes.

So Bama plays a team that could protect the QB. It showed how vulnerable they were on the back end of the defense.

Beating Bama is first and foremost winning the line of scrimmage

Clemson did it on both sides of the ball.

Unfortunately for LSU those defensive lineman would have all left

If Saban miraculously retires, then maybe so. Which I wouldn't be too surprised to see given his low energy level last night. He coached that game like someone with one foot out the door, or one in the grave.

Saban needs to hire some new staff and pay them to keep them. Locksley was juggling 2 jobs and the new DC was promoted from within afterr Pruitt went to Tenn.

He needs to find a good OC and DC and lock them down for a few years. The constant turnover does take a toll.

It's just that nobody could exploit them in the SEC like Clemson did. Clemson has equal talent which is better than what we have.

So with talent being equal, it was the coaching that made the difference last night.

I'm not sure how Venables has put out such good defenses at Clemson because he stunk at OU. But maybe he has learned some things and has a great staff. But he certainly watched tape and others success against Bama secondary and came up with a game plan that had Tua confused.

This! SEC needs to man-up and throat punch Bama next season. QB play for the above schools will be huge. You have to be able to drive the ball downfield, and you have to have the ATH's to play good team DEF.

The only way this happens is if Saban refuses to make changes to his philosophy, staff, and organization AND allows recruiting the trenches to fall off.

Bama will be back next year. They are loaded and are probably bringing in the best recruiting class ever this year. They aren’t going anywhere

They have Saban we had Miles. Miles didn't recommit himself after 2012, I think he got worse. He had the 17th rated recruiting class that year (bama will be number 1 this year), he made no changes to the offense, and our upperclassmen continued to leave.

Anything is possible. What stood out to me last night was Clemson played that game with no fear or hesitation. You can't play conservative against Bama because that plays into their strengths too much. When they get hit back or they can't control the pace they get flustered and make errors as most teams do. Those are just people in those red uniforms not emotionless robots.
