At least it's a polo and not a T-shirt.

They are typically stripped naked and forced to walk around the stadium while someone walks behind them ringing a bell and shouting "Shame!"

On second that, that might have been Game of Thrones.

It's easy when you don't have to change out of your orange road crew uniform.

You run a website dedicated to LSU athletics, and you have never seen what the stadium looks like for the gold game?

I don't think LSU can afford to bail on something that is contractually obligated.

There haven't been Pom poms in years. They're not going to just bring them out now

If folks want a gold game, put the gold jerseys, white helmets, and white pants on for that one game. I am sure DiNardo's fashion design is sitting around in some filing cabinet.

We wear purple for a game or two. Do the gold for one, and then tradition unis for the rest of the season.

I don't Chicken has been to a game for several years.

Those of us who are not close don't always get to make it to a home game, and when we do, that game is not necessarily a gold game.

Yes they do. It's actually impressive.

The masculinity insecurity among LSU fans and shakers is very entertaining.

It actually can look really cool when everyone is doing something in unison. Worst case scenario you can use the shaker to mix your drink and towel to wipe your face...and I'm assuming it's going to be hot as hell this Saturday.

COOL! Looking COOL on TV is way more important than making noise

Well I'm pretty sure shaking them still actually makes noise, maybe slightly less. I've been to most SEC stadiums, and Auburn is probably the second loudest, maybe even as loud as death valley. they all have a shaker in hand

I don't care either way. I don't use one, but I just crack up when LSU hands them out and other fans give each other hell over masculinity perceptions.

the PMAC used to be absurdly loud, and they always had shakers throughout the arena. Your logic is flawed and there's a lot of examples to argue against it

You know what would be awesome?

Did anyone see the purple, gold and white camo pattern on the truck pulling mike before mcnese?

Imagine that color pattern utilized throughout the stands using free tshirts! Would be spectacular and definitely unique to Louisiana!!

what % of the crowd wear Gold (or whatever color) when there is a color designation for the game?

A large portion but its not a full commitment to it.
