Tosh Lupoi
Supposedly butting heads with Rivera (GM for Cal)
Also, Cal had a bunch of issues with his contract initially and I believe it was supposedly just finalized like 2 weeks ago at 5 years, $22.6M.

Cal has been one of the bigger disappointments in college football so far this season, with a 3-6 record through nine games (2-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference), with a struggling offense and an increasingly leaky defense. After excitement built in the offseason over the hire of Lupoi, a former Cal player who went on to win two titles as an assistant at Alabama and later reached the College Football Playoff at Oregon as a defensive coordinator, Bears fans now are losing their faith in the new head coach.

Co-hosts Brian Murphy and Markus Boucher asked Rivera about the adversity the Bears have faced this year and how Lupoi has handled things so far. Rivera’s answer seemed to indicate some internal friction.
quote:
“Tosh came in as a first-time head coach. He did bring a couple of inexperienced coordinators with him. Things didn’t work out the way we needed them to work out on offense.
“He has bumped his head a lot. We have talked a lot, tried to give him a lot of advice, point him in the right direction. Some of it, he’s been very receptive, and other portions of it, he hasn’t. And it’s those things that sometimes you’ve gotta learn for yourself before you think, ‘Oh wow, this is it.’ But I’d like to continue to stress that this is a guy that’s learning, growing. But now it’s time. These last three games, hopefully four, the trajectory has to be going north. We have to show that we are growing, there has been some growth and development of our players, our team, and the culture is getting stronger. Those are all things that you have to have going forward.”

None of the assistants at Alabama won championships. Saban won them. That’s like me claiming to be part of a Space X launch because I bought a share of stock. Lol.

Stupid take
What does that have to do with these guys’ value as analysts or assistant coaches at LSU?
Also, assistant coaches and analysts contribute a lot more to a football program than you contribute to Space X by buying one share of stock.

What are you talking about. Saban always had great assistants and they are now head coaching most of the major programs out there.

No, you donating to TAF is like buying stock. You being head of launch coordination to literally launch the rocket is like being a coordinator, i.e. an assistant coach.
