Ive been twice in my lifetime to watch Mississippi State and LSU play and both times they were the JP sports 11:30 kickoffs. Also I was younger back then for one game (so I didnt drink, the other time I went with a date and drove back after the game)

This Saturday I will be there for the first time to watch a night game at TS. I have my visitor nose bleed section tickets for the game, but my question is about the tailgaiting before the game?

What do you guys reccomend for a first timer looking to party and have a good time tailgating before the game?

I know you guys are going to win, Im just looking forward to the experience. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

I remember one particularly awful complete deluge of rain 11:30 am game in the early to mid 90s. Was one of the games you attended, that one?

Im just there for the experience, not even worried about the game. I dont even expect us to put up much of a fight, much like the past two weeks. Yall have superior talent and speed to us.

Im just there to party, and am curious what places there are to tailgate/party I have been to walkons before.

I think that was 2006 when Croom was coaching there, and no that wasn't one of them.

No, this was definitely in the 90s that I'm talking about.

If you're not used to Louisiana level drinking, my first suggestion would be to pace yourself.

Couple of years ago we had a MILF type sitting in front of us having a great time. But she was so plastered by the 1st quarter someone had to bring her back to the bus.

Take in Chimes on Highland Road just outside of the North gates of campus. Great place to watch the day games, cold beer, decent food, and lots of away fans stop in.

Also walk past any tailgate party and just say what you said here, and they will invite you in to partake in their food and frolic along with some good natured tiger bait chants.

We played Auburn in Starkville in '94 as the 11:30 game and it rained HARD!

Being from South Mississippi, and having grown up in Brookhaven and now living in Hattiesburg I have to admit this is the first time I have ever been called a Hillbilly

And Im smart enough not to bring my cowbell.
