I think Coaching gets a C at best. The playcalling at key moments was aggravating, to say the least.

And the defensive strategy on Bama's last drive was not good.

Coaching was great at times, but not great at the critical times

The fact that our worse season since 2000 is 8-5 and that we've had 7 10 win seasons since 2000 is amazing. I argue that very few teams outside of UF can claim the consistency we've had.

But, look at Auburn. shite could be worse. I'd bet that every team except Oregon and Bama would trade teams with us for 2013.

I was thinking about this yesterday. We're bitching about a likely 11-2 year when we've lost somewhere between 8-10 starters on both sides of the ball.

I can't even begin to imagine what these nega-bitches would say if we were in the same position as Arky or Auburn.

I got a little fired up this morning when a bunch of coworkers started talking about how "Miles proved he is not a good coach."

Really is amazing how these same "fans" said we had no chance and would lose by 3 TDs, but we came out and dominated Bama to the tune of 430 yards of offense when people thought we wouldn't even score or cross midfield, yet Miles still sucks.

Pretty sure I heard them say in an interview that if one goes, the other will follow.

COACHING B+

Great offensive game plan & great defense for 57 minutes.

IMO, w/ the three poor coaching decisions, I grade them out at C-.

1. The fake field goal w/ less than 5:00 in the 1st half. If we had completely fooled them there was no way our kicker was going to out run their defense for 12 yds.

2. The 54-yard field goal attempt at the Bama 37 with 1:11 left in the first half. Why attempt such a low percentage play w/ that field position & Bama having three timeouts.

3. The Ware sneak w/ 4th & 1-1/2 yds w/ 8:47 to go in the game. I didn’t mind the call to go for it, but everyone in the stadium knew what was coming.

I agree with you 100%. The reason I bumped their grade up is because they actually opened it up and let us throw instead of getting in the fetal position like on 1/9. That is a huge step for this staff.

The playcalling was still annoying as frick though. I think maybe they should drop to a B or B- now that you mention it.

Bama's biggest advantage going into next year is another cake walk schedule. It's pathetic

Meant to say IF he leaves.

Agreed. Overall gameplan was very solid.

In game coaching was pretty good. Adjustments were made.

Critical decision making was poor.

"I think Coaching gets a C at best."

Really hard to assign a grade here because what are you looking for? The in-game coaching was largely poor, but the overall game plan and preparation were outstanding. Depends on what you choose to emphasize.

I guess I should've broken it down like this:

Gameplan----B+
GAmeday decisions: D

Gotcha. Not sure I see that happening, but just my opinion. We shall see. But agree, if he does, secondary will still be in good shape.

I just have a big problem with settling with the FG on the final drive. Alleman has continually showed you he's mentally fragile and that distance is anything but automatic for him. Put the game in Mett's hands and end it.

Yep. The only teams who I think can beat bama next year is us and aTm. But A&M loses a lot on D.

Miles is a good coach, but he lets the aura of Saban get in his head and he holes up. He is too damn conservative.

You can say the exact same thing of Saban last year in T-Town....

If we don't try the trickery, we win. We DID try it and still should have won.

The only play call that really eats at me is the WareCat and running up the middle. We hand it to JH with Mett in game OR toss to MF out of WareCat and the game is OVER.
