Yes. Shaq.
Shaq was an early investor in Google.
He owns hundreds of 5 Guys & Fries.
He's a billionaire by now for sure.
Nobody comes close.

If you took every dollar Shaq earned from his athletic contracts I think he would still likely be the top earner but Ryan Clark has done well post playing career, so has Booger and Spears with their ESPN contracts.

I'm pretty sure he had his name legally changed to "Former Tiger Chris Perret"

Shaq is the correct answer. Then everyone else.

Brandon Landry's doing pretty good and I would say it has virtually nothing to do with his playing career...
His restaurant is literally named after what he was during his playing career.

Mike Anderson should get a mention.
And Buddy Shirley at one time with Quick-kick.

Not an athlete, but wow. Sorry for the tangent.
Was told by a mutual friend that this guy was offered $11B for his company. And turned it down.

Y'all are giving way too much credit to this. The food quality and atmosphere are what make it successful, not the fact that an owner was a former walk-on.
Lyman White had a wings place near LSU when I was in school. It didn't survive.

Brandon Landry’s done alright.

Russel Shepherd has some great business going on
After he made $9million playing in the NFL and he's probably qualified for a pension as well. Its hard for me to say his business isn't heavily bolstered by his NFL windfall. He earned every bit of it, but sports had a lot to do with where his current business is (whatever that business may be).

What sport did Dr. Andrews play at LSU?

But my answer is still Shaq.
I love Shaq but do not subscribe to his religious beliefs. For that reason, I’ll take Michael Clayton or Pistol Pete. I believe Andy Hamilton became a ministers/evangelist.
