don't play games. overrated according to whom?

obviously, if you didn't expect big things from A.B., then you consider him overrated. I did, however. Nonetheless, he wouldn't be on my list.

Uh, right... the dude played 4 games then got kicked off of the team. There is alot more to being a good football player than talent.

okay.. so direct your comments towards the person you're responding to..., please.

well, yeah if you are not as good as Domanick Davis than you are the most overrated back in LSU history. And if you started over Joseph Addai when you were both healthy (and Addai had been in the system a year longer than you) and got over 6 yards a carry that year than you still are the most overrated back in history. This is all starting to become clear.

Next: most overrated defensive tackle in LSU history. Chad Lavalais. I mean the guy is not even as good as Glenn Dorsey or Booger McFarland. What a piece of shite.

This gets my Best Reply Award.

If you think Alley was over-rated you are an idiot. No one can ever tell just how good a LSU running back is because we are always doing a running back by committee. Alley started over Addai who is now a star in the NFL.

As for most under-rated... it HAS to be Dominic Davis... I remember the year Va Tech beat us in the opener he should have had like 8 punt return for TDs but half of them got called back... it seemed like every game he had one called back. Would have been a hellava NFL running back if he would not have always been hurt. When he was healthy he was an easy bet for 100+ yards.

No problem for me. Forget about it. I'm more interested in what you think.

Who is your fav. RB, and then, who do you think that other LSU fan's like, that you think is overrated...that's the thread, afterall.

Where do I call anyone a piece of shite? Just stating an opinion that a guy was overrated. He got tons of hype on this very board, and has the worst career num, bers of any back who has led LSU in rushing for the last 10 years.

1) Robert Davis

2) Josh Reed (as a RB)

3) Jacob Hester. (I loved him but, the fans overrated him)

I'm not sure it's easy to distinguish the situation ware the RB is underperforming, from the one wear he isn't utilized in way that allows him to show his where's.

Finally a correct response...

This guy got tons of hype and although he was blazing fast he didn't have any instincts as a RB. If he couldn't get around the corner, he was going to be dropped for a small gain.

You put an NFL player on your list over the many highly touted RB recruits who turned out to be a complete bust?

Further proof that some of our fans are clueless.

I would say Cecil Collins......not from a talent perspective, shite he was probably the most talented complete RB to ever play at LSU, but from a mental standpoint the dude didn't have the damn common sense to stay on the straight and narrow and run the damn ball and collect a check......very frustrating and overrated

"Next: most overrated defensive tackle in LSU history. Chad Lavalais. I mean the guy is not even as good as Glenn Dorsey or Booger McFarland. What a piece of shite."

Wow. If you want to talk about underperforming as a pro, that's fine, but Lavalais was about as disruptive as an interior DL as you will see in college football. I wonder how closely you actually watched Lavalais.

As for the RB's, it kind of depends on what it means to be "underrated." You could make an argument that Hester was, at different times, the most under AND over rated of the LSU RB's. In reverse, you could make a similar case for Harvey "The Prince" Williams. He came in with so much hype that he was overrated but then people kind of turned him, forgetting that the guy really could play. Arguably an underrated RB by the time he left and fought through some injuries.
