End of the Auburn game, 1995. I was 12 and hated Auburn with a passion you would not believe especially after watching us piss away what would have been a landmark upset win the year before. Twillie's INT is the only time I've ever cried tears of joy. I'm becoming a dad in October so maybe that will finally surpass it, but as of now 9/16/95 is the happiest day of my life.

My biggest takeaway from this thread is how much I appreciate Cityzen225 for putting this old highlights up on YouTube with Jim Hawthorne's radio call synced

Flynn to Byrd with 1 sec left over Auburn without question, and it isn’t even close

I was in the SEZ, and when the pass came down in the endzone, none of us knew what happened initially. It was quiet...until we heard everyone on the NEZ erupt.

was incredible.

and although dinardo was a mediocre coach overall, anyone that puts him in the archer/hallman group is a moron.

Mathieu's punt return vs. Arky will always be a personal favorite; I was in Tiger Band and we were getting ready for halftime, so I got to watch that play from the field.

Let’s just say some saw it a little closer.

since this has blurred into a plethora of examples, here are two that were absolutely ear-shattering and very underrated:

* Marcus Quinn's interception on the goal line in the 1980 Auburn game. Auburn blocked a punt with :49 left and had first down on the LSU 12. On 4th down Quinn jumped up at the goal line and ran it back to midfield. When he caught that interception and started to run the roar was deafening.

* Robert Royal catch from Josh Booty in 2000 Alabama game. On first down after the entire officiating crew totally botched the initial call on a recovered fumbled punt by LSU that inexplicably was initially ruled an Alabama recovery. Once that got settled Royal caught a somewhat nondescript pass out in the flat and turned and ran 50 yards. Crowd went nuts.

Two stand out to me from games that I was in attendance for.

Keiland Williams long run vs. VTech.
LINK

Mauck to Green vs. UGA.

For whatever reason, those two stood out to me.

There's a picture of him patting Mathieu on the shoulder pads after the score, I've seen it as a sig pic for another poster recently

1. Billy Cannon's Halloween Night punt return
2. Earthquake Game TD pass
3. Bert Jones to Brad Davis, TD on last play of 1972 Ole Miss game

These are the three that immediately come to mind. I would rate them a bit differently but these are the plays that make LSU football great.

Nice that two of them were against Ole Miss.

Billy Cannon's punt return has to be in a class by itself. After that there is Bert Jones to Brad Davis, the Earthquake game, D. Byrd, Skyler Green... If it happened since 1966 I was there.
