Moscona is connected. He only says what his connections in the LSU athletic department allow him to say, in order to maintain his good status. The fact that he is speaking on the Kiffin rumors is telling.

He is easily the most uniformed of the Baton Rouge/LSU Media Guys. I dont think this guy has ever been right on a coaching hire since I have been following. Ruffino is generally pretty good and you can tell the he has legit sources but always tends to be a bit tight lipped and on the conservative side.

He said on his show yesterday he doesn't know anything about Lane taking the job or not. Why is that a problem for you? Nobody knows. He's a radio host, not Lane's agent.

This is correct. He's a mouthpiece, but that allows you to know and say just enough to have your own show.
I don't really have an issue with Moscona either way, he does have his blind spots as others have mentioned.

I get that Moscona isn't for everyone, I don't listen to his radio show, but his Locked on LSU podcast is usually pretty good because its only 20 min, so their isn't any fluff or some of the shite you have to deal with to fill a 2-3 hour radio show every day.

This board is insufferable. If any of you don't like Moscona, all you have to do is change the radio dial to that Cool Jazz station that I know you like.
Matt works hard and puts together good shows every day. He has good sources, and he protects them by not going off half-cocked. When he's just guessing, he says so...but his guesses are always well-sourced.
Of course he was upset about the Woodward firing. He lost his Catholic High connection. (maybe Woodward wasn't telling him stuff, but Woodward's CHS cronies were).
I don't know how you can say, though, that he doesn't know what he's talking about. Gordon is as well-connnected as anybody, and Gordon and Moscona talk regularly. That is obvious.
