Flashes of young Barry Bonds in left come to mind.

Wouldn’t call him “Barry bonds” but…. We’re lucky to have him… He is the definition of a Swiss Army knife on the diamond… offensively and defensively.

I’m not sure his hitting will translate. I see him as a 5-7 round or so pick. His speed is not exceptional. His base running isn’t exceptional.. his arm isn’t exceptional. His power isn’t exceptional.

His play at first is exceptional.

He is a good player not exceptional.

His skin color is the only thing he has in common with Bonds.

I think there’s only 2 things he has in common with Barry Bonds. One of them is being a lefty…you figure out the other

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……He won’t even make an all star game man. I will be surprised if he gets extended time in the show.

For a serious comparison, he reminds me of Jurickson Profar a lot. Can play a ton of positions and has deceptive power/arm strength, but isn't going to ever be the best player on the field.

Easy. Bonds a top 5 all timer. Let’s just get him to the show first.

If he would go back to his freshman approach, his hitting would absolutely translate. But he has a lot more upper cut in his swing now, and I think I have a pretty good idea what he's trying to do, but frankly, it has held his production back. He was also very fast as a freshman, but has bulked up a good bit, and it seems to have slowed him down, though he still runs reasonably well.

His pull side power is legitimate, but his affinity for going the other way, and the fact that he's getting under the ball more than he used to, means that he's not tapping into that power very often, and his average is not what it could be. To me, he's a few minor tweaks away from being a superstar. He's just caught in between being a line drive opposite field hitter and trying to be a power hitter. In my opinion, anyway.

I was talking about Garrett Temple with some guys last night. Wasn't an exceptional player, but did everything well. Ended up having the longest career of that Final 4 team.

Not saying that will happen with Morgan, but I could see it being a possibility

I’m one of those people who think Morgan gets his swing tweaked at the next level and has more power.
