OU with key players gone is still more talented than OSU. OU will win this game.

Well..... OSU at home + chance to "possibly" play in BCS championship game + OU with star offensive playmaker out + OU with no chance of playing in BCS title game = OSU double digit victory.
On the other side of the fence:
OU with chance to win championship game + opportunity to beat rival and ruin their championship season = OU upset.....
I like OSU's chances. Much more to play for AND they are the better team. Looking forward to watching that game as well....

OSU, even if they win, will not be in the game.
Prepare yourself to root against Bama.

LOL. Well, shite.
I tell you what:
I live by this motto in life: "KNOW YOUR PLACE".
All I've been trying to do the past few days is make LSU fans understand "our place".
At this point, it just cracks me up that some fans are so pissed about having to play Bama again.
I've started a thread earlier this week detailing what, why and how schools like Bama operate and what playing field they play on. The sooner fans come to grips with this reality, the happier they will be.
Do I think Bama deserves to be in the NCG? No.
Do I think they are the best team to go? Yes.
Do I think if LSU was in Bama's place right now, LSU would be in it? NO
It's quite the conundrum, but LSU fans need to know their place. Bama fans know their place, which is why they are here pissing everyone off.

Momentum is building for OSU! (Posted on 12/1/11 at 7:19 a.m.) Our rematch/sequel to game of the century is beginning to unravel ..... I for one am convinced that if OSU beats OU and VTech is unconvincing on Sat. that it will be Okie State vs LSU in BCS title game.....
This is a game that everyone will denounce as automatic LSU landslide with little interest nationally. Is that really what you want???
On the other hand, although some people will claim to hate it, the LSU v Alabama game will be the most anticipated BCS matchup outside of Texas v USC.
It will be hyped in the same was GOC I was.
It will be historical in every way with two of the best BCS era teams.
It will be a chance for LSU to win 3 straight v Bama.
Do you really want our team to miss out on that???

I agree that OU will beat OSU and end this discussion.

Do NOT want this defeatist pussy bitch on my team. Would be first person fragged by his own squad.

After watching Oklahoma against Baylor I would have to say Oklahoma's secondary is looking weak. Either Baylor's Wide receiver's are world class sprinters or Oklahoma's Cornerbacks and safeties are slow. I think it is the later. Very surprising to me.....
The safeties bit on the same double move at least three times allowing at least one or two easy scores for Baylor. The cornerbacks had to hold to keep Baylor's WR's from getting away from them.
Robert Griffin III looked good, but he missed at least 3 Wide open throws.
I have changed my line of thinking on this game, I think Okie St. is gonna score a lot of points on Oklahoma and look for them to win. Either way it will be a high scoring game.

But not if they had lost to BAMA and sat at home with their feet up while another team won our conference.
What do y'all think Okie State was doing while we were playing #3 Arkansas last week? And for those claiming a rematch would make November 5th "meaningless," why do you guys insist on making Okie State's game with Iowa State meaningless? Won't that game not have mattered at all if they make it to New Orleans?
I'm not even arguing Bama over OSU. I'd be fine if the Cowboys made it. I am, however, arguing for logical consistency. But more than that, I just don't want an undeserving team--not saying OSU is undeserving, necessarily--getting put in for the SOLE reason to avoid a rematch. It would suck to have to play Bama again, but it's better than the alternative.

Simply anointing BAMA as the second best team is exactly the type of beauty pageant bullshite we all said we hated about the system PRIOR to the BCS.
What are you talking about??? If we were using the system prior to the BCS, do you know what ranking Alabama would have? Same as today. #2
The only difference is that in the old days #1 and #2 did not play each other in the bowl games very often. "Simply anointing" is the manner that has "always" been used to rank teams. It's called voting.
I'm a playoff guy. Essentially what we currently have is a two team playoff, with voting determining who gets in. In any type of playoff, the teams begin with a new slate once the playoff starts. If you don't like that type of system, then you prefer the beauty contest to continue til the end, with voters determining who is the National Champion.

OSU matches up real well to OU this year, probably flat out has a better team, toss on key injuries, and this game shows every sign that OSU will break OU's Bedlam streak.
OU has weak safety play and average corners, begging to be lit up by OSU.
OSU's defensive strength is the secondary, the teams who kept close with us just ignored passing the ball for the most part. Oklahoma can't do that as an offense.
Be ready for some fireworks in Stillwater

I would rather play Bama than OSU. it will be a challenge worthy of a true championship. if you are scared, please stop being a fan now.
Posted on 12/1/11 at 9:13 am to RealityTiger
Don't care either way really but I guess I'll pull for Oklahoma St. just to make the gumps in Alabama nervous for a day over their chances for an opportunity to lose the BCSNCG.

So do I. But prepare yourself for the "LSU had a home game" excuse when they lose.
I want Bama more each day. The more the media pimps them out and the more their players talk smack, the more I want LSU to beat them again.
