Momentum is building for OSU!

Our rematch/sequel to game of the century is beginning to unravel ..... I for one am convinced that if OSU beats OU and VTech is unconvincing on Sat. that it will be Okie State vs LSU in BCS title game.....
Alabama supporters and their team/coaches have indeeed been way too vocal about all this. I agree that if they would just play the "woe are we for having to play LSU in regular season" card they would be o.k. (no pun intended).
However, I cannot shake the fact that it could be LSU sitting there in Alabama's shoes right now wondering if we would get another deserving opportunity. We'll just have to see how it all plays out on Sat. - including LSU's SEC champioship game against Georgia.
If Alabama does indeed get left out of the mix for the BCS championship game they have no one to blame but themselves. They had their opportunity at home against LSU and lost!
Assuming..... LSU takes care of Georgia on Sat. I don't care who we play in NOLA. If it's OK State we will definitely be overconfident. If Ala. it will be another epic battle. Looking forward to Saturday and let the championship games unfold! Geaux Tigers. NEXT!

Unfortunately this is very true, so we will be playing bama for sure.

I agree, I believe if OSU wins by 10 or more and VT loses than we play OSU. I even bought OSU reserves for that very reason. It will pay for my trip to New Orleans if it works out. GEAUX TIGERS and cowboys.

You keep forgetting, Okl. has some key players out...it will be a close game..could go either way...personally, I hope Okie St wins. It would be cool to play against the team( or school ) that Les left to come to LSU..I also predicted in October that it would be Okie St vs LSU in title game..

Don't confuse this Oklahoma defense with those of years past. OSU is the favorite in that game and rightfully so.

This is a completely new thing that has never been discussed at least a hundred times on this board. Thanks for adding a fresh idea to something that we are getting tired of hearing about.

I've never felt this way. I knew going into Tuscaloosa that if LSU lost there and BAMA won out, LSU would be O-U-T of the BCSNCG, as well they should. Could LSU have moved back up if BAMA has lost and LSU won out and been SEC Champs? Absolutely! But not if they had lost to BAMA and sat at home with their feet up while another team won our conference.
Sorry...we all knew the deal with the BAMA game. That includes BAMA.
For all those that bitch and moan about needing a playoff, I can't believe they don't recognize this game as just that...a playoff game in which one team moves on and the loser does not. Simply anointing BAMA as the second best team is exactly the type of beauty pageant bullshite we all said we hated about the system PRIOR to the BCS.

Cowpokes are going to win this game. Clemson beats Va Tech. LSU still plays Bama.

OU doesnt really have much of a chance without out their best player (Broyles) and their extremely overrated defense.
If OU plays lights out and OSU struggles, OSU still wins by 10+

So...maybe if you're not interested in the topic, you could simply not click it and avoid it entirely?

<--Me if OSU wins Saturday and jumps Bama.

Must not be too tired of hearing.... Quite a few responses. Nothing else to talk about really. Appreciate your thoughtful insights.

Not so fast my friend..... THIS is the only scenario I can think of where Ok State can jump 'Bama. I admit and agree it's a long shot but if it happens (OSU blows out OU and Clemson beats VTech) there will be some MAJOR momentum for OSU to jump 'Bama. Stranger things have happened (see 2007 end of regular season). We'll know more on Sunday. Enjoy the games on Sat. - especially the SEC championship!
Personal: I will be in Austin, TX watching eldest graduate from college (UT) and celebrating sister's 50th birthday party - along w watching TV as much as possible...... Got to have priorities. Geaux Tigers!
