And Cincinnati is a nicer place to live, by far, than Baton Rouge.

Isn't that area the overdose capital of the US? Sounds like a great place.

1981 AFC CG between Cincy and SD was -9 with -59 wind chill. Coldest wind chill NFL game in history.

I still think he signs with us.
Any info on North Carolina WR and OL. Sorry if I missed it.

Having been to Cincy recently, it’s very similar to BR, except more hilly. There are some baddd areas, especially around UC’s campus. As bad or worse than what we have down here.

I've lived in Cincinnati and in Baton Rouge.

Cincinnati is definitely the nicer place to live, although that probably isn't a huge factor for a college kid. Plus, the area around UC's campus has some of the worst parts of the city. The campus area has drastically improved in recent years, so maybe it is a lot better now.

The coach wouldn't need to guarantee him the starting job. Burrow wouldn't expect that or want it. He could probably just say based on film and stats he'll be given a full shot at it and basically it's his job to lose.

What film? The film of a scrimmage against a defense hes seen for 3 years?
It's very odd that all of the guys that like him want to say stuff about his film or stats from the scrimmage.
He knows the D, the players, probably the calls/adjustments. Yes, he still has to make the throws, but stop acting like it was against a Bama defense with a week to prepare.
Something to compare it to....Matt

He came from GA where he was projected to start by many. His competition was one of the best QBs in the SEC eventually.
He then goes the JUCO route where he becomes one of the all time stat leaders for a single year (I think) Basicaly a man amongst boys.
He then comes to LSU and, as great as he was, was made to sit a year and watch 2 fricking complete turds of QB abominations play ahead of him! Didnt see the field!
Many things to take from this, but the bottom line is that it happens, a LOT!

Again, just tell me how he has a chance to start here when there are very few weeks in Aug before we have to play Miami and, while splitting snaps with 2 or 3 guys ahead of him, hes not only supposed to best them out, hes supposed to master the offense which we haven't even fully implemented yet?

I have lived in both Cincinnati and Columbus. The Cincinnati sports media resents OSU. There are many OSU fans in Cincinnati, but the media gives it very little coverage. (In contrast, in Cleveland, OSU is very big) Egger gives OSU such little and uninformed coverage that I have stopped listening to his radio show altogether.

Would add that Egger may know something about UC, but he is a poor source of info about OSU.

Kind of like the 3 QB's we currently have but didn't do well in the scrimmage?

Did you see our guys going against the defense they see everyday? Sorry, your logic actually supports the “Burrow film” theories...

Where did I say anything about our guys scrimmage stats. I get it, you need to deflect to make yourself feel better.
He was there 3 YEARS and a spring before his freshman year, and after his 3rd year...so basically the equivalent of 4 years. I'd say he has a little more experience than brennan or LN, hih?
One would be retarded to think our defense wouldnt be miles ahead of our offense in spring...qe are learning a new offense, only half implemented, and the defense is considered on of our best in a long time.
I'm all for improvement, but you cant even almost say this guy should be considered an improvement at this point...it would be a lie and a hope.
Plus, time constraints explained above...we ain't got time fo dat

I lived in Cincinnati. It's a cesspool. A dreary boil on the arse of the Midwest.

I lived in Cincinnati for 5 years after I grew up in Baton Rouge and I loved the place. It's hardly a cesspool or a "dreary boil". The weather is great, it's on the Ohio River, the people are great, there's a great corporate economic base with Procter & Gamble and several other major corporations there and it's a great place to raise a family. It's a great baseball town although the Reds are currently down. I preferred it to Baton Rouge in everything except food. Especially if someone is from Ohio, living in Cincinnati would be preferred over living in Baton Rouge.

He'll be here for the summer session to learn the playbook; participate in team organized 7 on 7 sessions, etc. Players have transferred or arrived for fall camp and won the job before. It can be done. Plus, since the offense is not fully implemented he won't be that far behind the others who didn't exactly look comfortable running it in the spring game. Football is football, the route tree, the RPO, the reads etc are similar. It's a myth that it takes a rocket scientist to learn the nuances. Burrow is supposed to be a football junkie.
Look, maybe he comes and is not a better option than Brennan, who we all assumed was the heir apparent. If someone told you in January that Justin M would be the leader coming out of Spring then you would run for the hills.

Yes Sir. I did get to fly in last season and watch us come from behind and defeat Auburn. I got lucky on that one, and I'll take it!
