"I think it would be tough for him to succeed in Year 1 at Cincinnati...I'm not sure who he'd throw or who would protect him.

The best & perhaps only chip for Cincy is the promise for him to start Day 1"

@MoEgger1530 on the prospects of Joe Burrow picking Cincy over LSU & UNC.

That and the home/comfortability factor. It will be interesting to see if Joe goes with comfort or expands his horizons and comes down to BR.

And Cincinnati is a nicer place to live, by far, than Baton Rouge.

If he goes by his original timeline, today would be the day.

Unless he plans on getting drafted only by the Bengals or Browns he’ll have to leave at some point.

That is waaaaay down the list of things that most players factor in when deciding where to play.

If he’s as good as everyone here seems to think he is, there’s a good chance one of those teams will end up with him no matter what

I lived in Cincinnati. It's a cesspool. A dreary boil on the arse of the Midwest.

Never been to Cincy, but I remember an NFL playoff game back in the late 80s where the temp was below 0....
I live in NM where we had a cool spell in 2011, got down to 20 below for about a week, never got over 0 that week....
It ain't no fun.
Haven't lived in BR for 45 yrs but I'd pick BR over Ohio. Not to mention the mindset necessary to"stay close to home". If he wants the NFL, he better get over that ASAP....
Having said all that, I think, looking at his intelligence and past decision history, He's a Tiger.....

Family probably not moving to wherever he picks just to watch him play football 9-10 times

Didn't say they would move. But they do care about what type of place he'd be moving to.

Before anyone jumps on my shite, I'm not saying I think they'd pick cincy over BR, but those are things parents are concerned with.

The father is a coach. He won't be going anywhere to watch his son play.

Doubt it, they’re looking for maximum exposure in minimum time, they’re trying to get their kid in the ultimate travel ball league

he's not moving his wife and kids to BR for the long term. He'll be here 2 years, and spend 90% of his time on campus. The quality of the city is irrelevant to his decision.

Check Ohio's schedule. Play a lot of games on days other than Saturday. He will be at many games if Joe suits up of Cinn.
