according to miles haters, anyone could win with our talent. He was a buffoon that was holding this team back. Now that "anyone" is the coach, it's miles fault that we lost to msu by the worst in school history.

Keep moving them goalpost.

If Miles was coach last weekend LSU would have still lost, but not by 30. Would have been a TD or Les.
Conjecture. Miles has won his share of close ones vs MSU (2pts, 4pts?).

This almost feels like Miami back in the day and their downward spiral

Saban> Miles> Cookie Monster

Davis > Coker > Shannon

We fired Miles for that, remember?

The intention was to get a BETTER, not equal or worse coach.

Good article in the advocate on why LSU is depleted at 3 positions and some of it deals with Mile's errors in recruiting. LINK Coach has to play the hand left by the former coach. This is NOT a defense of the way LSU played last weekend!

Come on dude. You really think Miles team would have quit like last week. I saw it twice only. Auburn 14 and Arky in the freezing weather after a bitter loss to Bama.
Other than that, Miles would have had Teheuma on the field last week and LSU Offense makes more plays.

That is not really a valid or relevant argument. The question is would another FA coach from last year be doing better than O b

Miles did enough to get fired, nobody should care how he would have been doing this year

Those rankings are NOT indicative of LSU's OL/DL depth or quality. In 13/14/15 Miles signed 18 DL/OL, Alabama signed 28!

As for a more true indicator of DL quality, the number of LSU DL drafted has declined after 2012. LSU is going into it's 4th year with likely only 1 DL drafted in 2018.

2003- None
2004- Marquise Hill(2nd), Chad Lavalais(5th)
2005- Marcus Spears(1st)
2006-Kyle Williams(5th), Claude Wroten(3rd), Melvin Oliver(6th)
2007-Chase Pittman(7th)
2008- Glenn Dorsey(1st)
2009-Tyson Jackson(1st), Ricky Jean Francois(7th)
2010-Al Woods(4th)
2011- Drake Nevis(3rd), Lazarius Levingston(7th)
2012- Michael Brockers (1st)
2013 - Barkevious Mingo(1st), Bennie Logan(3rd), Sam Montgomery(3rd), Lavar Edwards(5th)
2014 -Ego Ferguson (2nd)
2015-Danielle Hunter (3rd)
2016-Davon Godchaux (5th)
2017-Arden Key(1st ?), Lacouture( ), Gilmore( )

This is total bull shite. Orgeron is just not a good coach. His track record shows it as well.

Then you go coach the team. Better yet, offer a solution to the problem? You probably don’t know because you are a crazed fan who knows nothing about the game except wins and losses. You done know the “why” wins and losses are accumulated. It’s not an excuse, it is a fact. Sense 2014, our offensive line play has been pathetic. And except for last year when we had depth and seasoned players at key positions, our front seven has sucked. It’s facts. I can’t stand fans like you who sit behind a keyboard and think they know football.

Makes your figures suspect when conveniently leaving out 12 in '16, IIRC.

NO WAY? But Les did lose to Moo State AT HOME 2 years ago!

Just because O sucks doesn't mean Les was a great Coach!

They had like 18 committs when Miles was fired. Then some decomitted, then re committed. Were prob sold on the continuity of the coaching staff and that LSU isn't in rebuild.

But now they are because they hired a dline coach to be head coach.

Your right, he did lose to Miss St 2 years ago. He also won 11 out of 12 against them. So yes Miles will lose to Miss St about twice every 24 years.

What is this supposed to prove? That LSU puts a shitload of DLineman into the NFL? Since Miles became head coach list all the other college teams that have put more D-Lineman into the NFL...

I believe there are several issues, but what's puzzling to me is there have been guys suspended for multiple games and no reason why. We have a 5 star stud who has switched form safety to receiver to h back and still hasn't seen the field. This usually translates into a transfer situation. Lastly as a former coach, I always believe you build your offense / defense to fit your players, not get your players to fit the system, unless already established.

With 3.5 mil salary I'd coach the team with no buyout needed.

I hope I'm getting the gist of this strange statement.
The narrative seems to have changed from when everyone thought the comeback was worthy of installing a Frosh QB (not that Jennings was good).
The "gist" is that we were completely embarrassed at home against Miss State under Les.

Why? If we had a few quick 4th quarter scores against the backups on the other team that would have been a good "coaching" move?

Yes, if we had a few quick scores with our future QB that would have been a positive, more so than just folding like they did. Obviously.

No, the "gist" is that LSU team didn't roll over and play dead as the one last Saturday nite did. That's a pretty big freaking difference in my book, but each to our own.

That may be true. But that does not change the fact that O is not up to the job. Your logic is similar to the age old comeback of "you couldn't do any better" whenever someone criticizes a coach or athlete. The statement is true. But it's also true, that the person being critical doesn't get paid to do it. Les isn't getting paid to coach this team. In fact he's paid to not coach it. Coaching LSU is O's job. The buck stops with him so stop making excuses for him.
