Good article in the advocate on why LSU is depleted at 3 positions and some of it deals with Mile's errors in recruiting.
LINK

Coach has to play the hand left by the former coach.

This is NOT a defense of the way LSU played last weekend!

So Miles was only successful at LSU because of Saban, and now his successor is failing at LSU because of Miles.

That adds up.

This is total bullshite. Orgeron is just not a good coach. His track record shows it as well.

Miles first game vs Moo State was a 30+ to single digit win for us.

We've only lost to Moo State 3 times, twice since WWII.

That's true, and the transfers didn't help. However, O was the recruiting coordinator after Wilson left. It's no secret in what area you will more than likely be thin at the following season.

Look at Bama, and I hate to bring them up (the whole Bama-sessed thing) but who do they recruit more than anything? Linemen.

Agreed. Nothing to do with Miles.

I can't figure out why some "fans" are so quick to point the finger at a guy that won a national championship (how you feel about he got to it is immaterial, backed into it, whatever. In any event, he got to it and beat tOSU. Then he gets to another one)

Miles had his shortcomings to be sure but that's not why we got run out of Starkville last Saturday night.

ETA: How many left after Miles left, and O was the RC for '16 class.

It is all about recruiting specially at OL, DL, and QB. coaching impact is overblown. Even Miles won most of his games vs inferior talent and had a hard time playing against superior and sometimes equal talent. Jimbo Fisher had #3 talent but lost to Alabama just like Miles did because Alabama had better talent. Last weeks game could be blamed on Aranda more than Orgeron if you want to blame coaches. I am more disappointed in Orgeron's recruiting so far than anything else.

I wasn't exactly a les fan, but I will say this. A Les Miles team wouldn't have quit in the 2nd half of the State game. just saying..

Oh ok.
I would bet you not. All those linemen that left especially Teheuma doesn't leave under Miles. The defensive line issues has a lot to do with O

The already thin defense being on the field for 45 minutes of real time for the first 3 drives because of penalties isn't quitting it's being worn out.

Where do these retarded, delusional statements come from? Miles was always an outstanding recruiter and he was responsible for most of this recruiting class. We might have signed even more top recruits if he was still here.

The man had shortcomings, but recruiting was not one of them. He is the reason that LSU has the most players in the NFL of any school right now.

We got roster issues. That's on Miles, period.

We are one game into O's tenure. I hated the hire, but I'm not going to react like a teenage girl based on one fricking game against not your fathers State team. Especially when we're playing an ungodly 20 true freshmen.

Coaches have their work cut out for them, just as Miles or anybody else would with this team. They are young so they will improve.

Lol now we are giving class rankings away that didn't happen? The only ranking that counts is the one on signing day. Anything prior to that is speculation.

Its Miles fault 7 lineman transferred after the hiring of O?

The last 3 classes were all top 10, all have NFL talent and has had NFL departures.

This narrative that Les left an empty roster with nothing to work with is complete BS.

Is the roster perfect? No but whos is?
