He threw two TDs to Boone vs UGA. Also made big throws to him in several other games, with one being a TD to shift the momentum right before the half at aTm.

In the UGA game was the only time another WR even registered really with Mett. Nothing is wrong with that considering we had two NFL receivers, it's just that when Beckham or Landry got dinged up in a game, he was pretty much screwed, and locked on to only one WR.

So who are the other two "fastest" players?

Miles mentioned Chark and Fournette at the start of camp.

He listed Fournette, Chark, Peterson, and alluded to yet another for a total of 4. One assumes he was speaking of Quinn?

So dumb...

throwing almost exclusively to those 2 is the main reason that we lost to Ole Miss in 2013.

Unbelievable... people actually complaining about the most productive offense in LSU history. Do you think when we shut down the offense in the 2nd quarter against OM and only had OBJ on the field with 2 TEs and a FB he was throwing to Jarvis too much? Not to mention Cam called the PA's to OBJ over and over for the 8th straight game and you're putting it all on Mett? How bout that DL going straight up the field instead of being patient against a read-draw? We actually tied the game up with a Mett TD pass to Landry... would they have given us an extra point if we had thrown it to Boone? You don't play to prove you can spread the ball around you play to win the game.

Not sure where the hell you pulled this from and why you responded to me with because I didn't say this.

What is unbelievable is that you take what was said in this thread and turn it into people "complaining about our offense". No one complained about our offense last year. What was said was that Mett forcing a ball to a WR covered by 3 Ole Miss guys and throwing interception after interception cost us that game. Mett was great. Landry was great. ODB was great. But Mett still made some horrendous decisions in that game. It is amazing that you fail to comprehend something that was incredibly simple to grasp.

Cam called the PA's to OBJ over and over for the 8th straight game and you're putting it all on Mett?

Cam didn't tell Mett to throw it to the WR no matter how many guys were covering him.

Uhh what?

Uhh thanks.

Not sure why you are attacking me. I already stated that Mett may have put the team in a hole with his picks, but that the defense got gashed in the second half.

Also, why is it dumb that I stated Mett really only maid two reads? Not many college QBs do more than two reads either. Besides he rarely needed to. Most plays to the third receiver were designed that way. Odell and Jarvis got all the attention, and it allows a third guy to get open. Not exactly that hard to see.

The four fastest are probably Fournette, Chark, Peterson, Dural.

But he chose to throw into double coverage instead of a wide open tight end in the end zone vs Bama. And an open tight end on the final drive vs uga

yall remember when this thread was about avery peterson?

Beat me to it. There seem to be a bunch of people trying to force the "mett didnt spread the ball out enough" point in places where it doesnt fit. I believe the original point that started this sentiment is that we didnt return enough experience at WR. Then it shifted to how good wright and boone are and they should've gotten the ball more.....then ole miss and blah blah.

Guys, let it go. Landry and OBJ were the best options. Shoukd Mett have looked more for others in his reads? Sure. Mett isn't here to answer for it. Let it go.

I AM happy that Jennings threw to Dural against Ark, rather than Landry.

I'll be ecstatic if Avery has a breakout year.

I hope he has a great season. I met him after the 2013 spring game & spoke briefly--he indicated he was looking forward to his high school teammate, Rashard Robinson, getting to campus.
