4 of the LSU receivers are pro receivers. I find it incredible that Wright has caught more touchdown passes in preseason than passes all of last year.

Mett threw a lot of balls to Landry and Beckham.

Because they were on the field the vast majority of the time. Same with Hill. Dural, Boone, etc. didn't see as many snaps.

TE's were on the field pretty much every play.

The QB has a set of reads, and rarely did Mett seem to get past the second option. I suspect he only really threw to a tightend when it was designed. His dump off was more commonly to a back .

So when he orchestrated a come back in the second half, but the defense shite the bed it is all his fault?

How was the team in that predicament in the first place?

Three INT's.

Also, didn't the defense hold them to 3 4th quarter points?

Exactly and that worked 90% of the time.

I'm not saying he didn't back the team into a hole, but he was digging them out without much help.

I think him trying to force big plays is the better critism. That's what he needs to fix if he ever wants to start in the NFL. He had a tendency to try and play gunslinger when field position got dicey. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. It probably won't in the NFL. If he would have settled down versus Ole Miss and hit some checks we win, but I really don't think it was because of OBJ or Landry being on the field.

It is interesting that Avery is draft eligible after this season, yet he has never played a down of college football.

I hope he gets a shot. Grades and an injury have held him back thus far, but he looks to be physically ready to contribute.

It seems like he made that same jump his brother did. From PP7's sophomore year to his junior year he just blew up in size and he seemed so much faster on the field. Excited for him to make his mark at LSU

Not surprised. He was on schedule to see some playing time last year, IIRC, until he got hurt.

was he? Didnt he basically get hurt the first day of camp? I'm not sure how much playing time had been figured out for him yet. At best he was probably looking at 4th or 5th option. At best.

Hill was 3rd with 18 catches. Boone and Dural tied for fourth with 7. Its a legitimate point, not everything has to be 100% positive.

I'm with HBC on this. It's not a knock on Miles as much as it is just a fact.

That being said, this is AP and Dural's year to shine. They will give MD and TQ time to evolve(hopefully).

meh, have to wait and see. Been pretty much injury prone since he got here. Also, one minute you hear a ton about Diarse Dupre and Quinn, then Peterson pops up out of nowhere after practices are closed?

It'll be good to see him on the field to see what he can do though. I've always liked his speed and decent hieght.

Which is weird because it seemed like Boone scored a TD every time he caught a pass.

44 career catches, 8 TDs.

For reference what other LSU WRs needed to reach 8 career TDs

Since 2003
Byrd needed 37 career catches
Doucet needed 47 career catches
Bowe needed 55 career catches
Randle needed 62 career catches
Green needed 72 career catches
Landry needed 73 career catches
LaFell needed 85 career catches
Beckham needed 99 career catches
Toliver needed 102 career catches
