Can any of y'all refresh my memory and tell me how we finnished in 2006 and 2007?

We rolled off seven straight at the end of 2006 with victories over #9 and #5 on the road.

We lost to an unranked team at home in final regular season game of 2007.

This worries me.

Its both. There is no way he should have reasonably expected to execute some of those plays against Florida.

When Les Miles gets down on a situation enough to actually come out and make these statements. It usually bodes well. He's usually Mr. I'm Proud After A Tough Loss, but this time, you can tell he's ready to make a change. I mean, we did in '06 and it worked out it seems...until now.

Step 1 - Quit this no-huddle, pausing and looking at the sideline for 10 seconds, then shouting around the play to the offense. Get the play in the huddle, run to the line, run the play. Rinse and repeat.

It looks like we're doing too much thinking out there. Just get to it and play ball.

Pretty confident. I think Miles has had it with GC.

hopefully this means an end to the 'hurry up meerkat' offense.

I hope so...isn't the reason for that crap is to see the defensive alignment and call the play based on the players they have on the field? If so, then what is going on in Crowton's mind to say "Whoop...there it is...I'm calling the old faithful option!" Good grief...

And knowing Miles is under pressure considering the lack of results on offense, I believe HE WILL FIX IT, and it will start against Auburn. And I also don't think it will take major adjustments to fix it. Just put the ball in the hands of the play makers and get out of the way.

MY favorite thing about this situation is that i think it will FINALLY end this silliness i see where every time the offense plays well Crowton gets the credit and every time they suck it is because Miles was meddling.

The offense we are watching is the full on Crowton offense. THat is his deal. It is as much of the Crowton offense as we have seen yet at LSU in my opinion...and its the same schizo can't find a rhythm multi-formation make a bunch of talented players look lost and horrible that sent him away from the Chicago Bears, BYU, and Oregon.

I hope like CRAZY that Miles takes over during the next 2 weeks. I think he has decent instincts in that area. I think he certainly will insist that we decide to settle on an identity and get the ball in the hands of our playmakers. I also think we see a lot more Russell Shep from here on as well.

Personally i hope we dump the option...but if we are going to run it...Run it with RS and TH. At least that would somewhat concern a defense. Nobody is going to care about it if we have JJ and KW doing it.

All of that aside. I want him to answer the question to the fact of why he did not put Russell Shepard in the game? Why not run a wildcat? Why not try it? WHY LES MILES? MR. 3.4 MILLION DOLLAR MAN ....WHY ???????????

I think the reasoning behind using the option is to slowly transition the offense to suit Russell Shepard in the future (If he is indeed to be QB). They've just not thought it through very well.

A good recent example of a transitional offense would be West Virginia last year. Noel Devine's numbers dropped considerably and the WRs got more attention as Pat White threw the ball more to lay the groundwork for this year with QB Jarrett Brown.

If this is the case - Perhaps Jefferson knows the gameplan isn't favorable and it's hurting his confidence.

Just a thought.
