I think it's a pretty neat thing to do with your kids. And I understand not wanting to cause that much of a stink (pardon the pun) because LSU will just cancel it to avoid the liability. But if Tio Javi's gave everybody diarrhea and throwing up, you need to call them out on it. For that kind of money, a caterer doesn't need to mail it in. frick that shite.
I agree it was a really cool thing to be able to camp out in TS, especially with my kids. I did send in a complaint to Mike's Kids Club and will see what they come back with.

Ate there last night, while I didn't get sick the food was cold and bad
Kind of hijack but Don Jose's is amazing Tex-Mex and cheaper than Javi's in BR now.

Has it always been garbage? I went there maybe 5 years ago once and it was really good that night

We did it last year and it was cool but at that price it was a one and done thing for us. Something I"m glad we got to experience but no real need to go back and do it over and over.
We may try the Alex Box campout next fall.

I talked to tio javis today and they are investigating what happened. The more people they hear from will probably help them find out what happened. I think it was either the ground beef or cheese on the nachos. I haven't heard back from the kids club yet.

It was the ground beef for the nachos. My wife had it with the beef and my daughter had it without. My wife got sick. I have inside sauces at Tio, so hopefully I get the real scoop, not the PR scoop they will fling at us.

It was definitely the beef. Four out of five of us in our tent had it on our nachos and all got sick. The other kid felt a little sick, but not near as bad.

Same here, no word back from them. I will give Tio Javi's a call.

Damn...does alleva just HAVE to make an OBSCENE profit on virtually EVERYTHING ?
Way to run the really young ones BEFORE they are even able to pay for a shitty product !

Did anyone receive a response from Tio/LSU yet?

This pathetic event is the epitome of the LSU Athletic Department.

Nothing from LSU. I spoke to Tio and they basically said they would review their meat rotation schedule and make sure everything is correct. Didn't give me much of an answer. However, they said that they haven't received a call from LSU on it yet so looks like it isn't very important to LSU.

We were there. Ate the nachos but didn't have the chili on top. Thank goodness.
We to the bathroom to piss that morning and the men's room was about 7 deep to use the shitter, lol. Guess I know why. Just glad my young uns didn't need it

I've never been, but it shocks me that it costs that much.LSU should just try to break even, and if they lose a little money, so be it. The whole thing should be looked at as more of a way to thank the LSU fans for their love for the school and to give the kids a memorable experience.

I went to the first one 5 years ago & the one this year. The cost was almost double for the first one. I assume LSU chose Tio Javi's over hamburgers to have a Mexican theme because of Cinco de Mayo. My wife & I both ate nachos with ground beef & pico de gallo, my kids just ate the chicken. Kids were fine. I was sick all day Saturday. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom at 6:00. We broke camp ASAFP to rush home.

If Blue Bell got this many people sick they would have burned Brenham Tx to the ground. WTF is going on here.
