That call cost us the game. It's rare that you can look at 1 play that causes a loss but in this case, there is no doubt. Whoever made that call should be fired.

the wizard made that call you cant just fricking fire him hes a masturmind

Its a good call if you have a timeout but a game ending play essentially if you dont get the first down. Miles should be fired for cause based on incompetence.

no that call did not.
there were too many passes dropped, passes in the dirt, dropped int's and way too many problems on defense as well to say that play cost us the game.
but that of play calling has been costly all season but i agree the guy in charge of the offense should be fired.

I agree that it was a stupid play call but the first half lost this game.

would have been a nice call with a to i agree. lafell has broken that before. we would have had the timeout if miles hadn't of challenge the clear fumble by ridley. all around frick up by miles.

I guess all you genius people understood that Penn St was dropping off and going into 4 coverage. So the mid screen hits for a first down stop the clock then spike the ball.
Jefferson had terrible feet all day and was not throw well outside for most part. Also they were going into the worst part of the field.

Jefferon said that it was a good call and he was ready to spike the ball had the Penn State players had not kepy Lafell from getting up.

Yea, Jefferson not being able to hit the broad side of a barn on the occasion he actually threw the ball instead of holding it all day had nothing to do with it. It kind of limits playcalling when your QB refuses to throw the ball unless he has all day to watch the WR break wide open.

my biggest problem... he wanted to spike it... why did penalty change the spike call? pure ignorance by the coaches or JJ or prolly both. the clock starts after penalty, don't go thru pre-snap reads for 14 seconds. The time was much more important than the down.

That is on Jefferson. He has to know to go with a play and get it off.

We ran the same play against Ole Miss to Brandon LaFell for 26 yards for a 1ST down and put us in field goal range. Nobody said that was a dumb play then? Maybe because it was successful?

We had a timeout against ole miss!

It was a bad call. With a bad riped up turf field and 30 seconds left with no time outs left YOU NEVER PASS THE BALL UNDER 10 YARDS so you get a first down and time stops or an incomplete pass and time stops. Worst call all season, just like OLD MISS.

PSU dominated the game for 50 minutes. LSU's 10 minutes gave us the lead, but one idiot play call from the master's of playcalling and time management wasn't the deciding factor. Perhaps if the geniuses could have gotten more than 69 yards and 2 fricking first downs in the first half the game may not have come down to that.

I could not and still cannot understand that call...

I get the thinking behind the call, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a God awful decision. It was wayyyy too risky.

We put Lafell in the muddiest, most treachorous (footing) part of the field and asked him to make a play.
Ball should have been kept on the numbers where guys had a little better footing.

You would think LSU would have better plays considering the fiasco at ole miss. We clearly did not. Crowton's playbook only has about five plays in it and you could see this throughout the game (dive, screen, 5 yard stops, options to the weak side, and Jefferson having no clue what to do). This offense was so bad throughout the year it made me want to puke every game we played. Cant wait to see Crowton go or whoever calls the plays for LSU. This is the issue and we need to get it figured out fast because if we dont we will be 7-5 next year at best. If you dont agree look at the schedule next year I can point out five definite losses we will have.
