Geography is not a requirement for the position I assume.

Many Michigan alumni have winter homes in Arizona I would imagine.

That's a stupid reason. Wouldn't an undefeated UCF have earned a right to play close to home? UCF/Florida would have had more regional interest in the battle for state dominance.

If that's the case then I would rather play Mich in the Peach than UCF in the Fiesta.

Didn’t want UCF to drum UF because the SEC has paid for this shite. Gotta get UF but up and get LSU beat down. frick this conference

Is Arizona really that much further than Atlanta for them?

Extra 30 minutes by plane?

I realize Atlanta isn't exactly next door. But Atlanta is a one day drive. Glendale is almost 3x farther.

I know it's fun to make fun of the committee, but honestly, there's nothing outlandish about the statement.

Also not a strong suit in this thread either

Ann Arbor to Atlanta 700 miles, 10 hour drive

Ann Arbor to Pheonix 1900 miles 28 hour drive
