Was there. Still have the t-shirt with the little naked butt LSU boy peeing on Miami. Yes, stormed like heck and we lost all momentum early.

I was there. There was a literal hurricane. Sat in sideline seats on the west side, rain pouring on to us from all of the umbrellas. We did not bring umbrellas. Just dumb college students.

LSU was unquestionably awful that night. At one point we drove down deep in Miami territory. My buddy turned to me and said “time for a fumble.” The very next play, we fumbled. I think we raced back to the dorm after the third quarter to escape the weather.

Damn, this asskicking was during the Earhquake Game season? I thought it was the next year. I wasn’t in TS for Miami, but was for the Florida State game a few years later. Didn’t it rain a little that game too? Not as bad as the Miami game, obviously.

Just looked it up, and we actually played FSU 3 straight years from ‘89-‘91(2 in BR, 1 in Tallahassee). Lost all 3. Also hosted them 5 years in a row from ‘79-‘83. We only won in ‘82. Been a while, but we’ve lost 7 of the last 8 to them(did beat them in the ‘68 Peach Bowl).

Ran across a pretty cool website where you can compare any 2 teams historically.

LSU vs FSU Winsipedia

I was there sitting with my grandmother. Had to sit thru the whole damn monsoon because she was too scared to walk down the steps in rain.

I was there. They banned umbrellas after that game. The vortex of wind and rain was ripping them out of people's hands and they were floating onto the field.

I had just moved to Virginia Beach, but watched it on TV. Probably the worst beat-down in LSU history. Maybe tied with the 1/9/2012 game...

When it rains we usually lose, especially to Miami, Fla. and Miami, OH.

Well rain isn’t in the forecast in Arlington this week. We’re winning this one!

You're right, that was one long, miserable rainy night in Tiger Stadium and one of the worst I've ever experienced in the stadium.

Naw. That 58-3 asswhipping in 1992 to UF was worse.

Lost momentum? The only time that LSU had momentum was coming out of the tunnel before the game started.

There was no return trip to Miami. The next time LSU played UM was in the 05 Peach Bowl.

I was there. At one point we went under the stands to avoid the rain but it was blowing sideways and we still got drenched.

Best part of the day was after the game. College girls sliding down the Indian mounds. It was like a wet T-shirt contest when they would get up. I was 16. it was great. Game sucked though.
