For several years, I could get my tickets to the CWS from the Coaches Committee at cost. LSU stopped that and I had to get my tickets through TAF (at cost) based on my ranking- no problem until the championship game(s). What has happened? Does LSU not get any tickets for their fans?

TV pays the teams/conferences a __it load of money, so why not let the Universities get a larger ticket allotment for season ticket holders based on TAF ranking for LSU?

I think it sucks that they have done away with GA.

This has become an event that is very expensive to bring the family to.

General admission that was $9 dollars in 2017 is now in the $200 range for the opening game.

I really hate they did away with the GA booklets. Of course that’s not an LSU thing, that’s a CWS thing, but it seems like all organizations are going away from caring about the general fan. They show favoritism towards whoever will give them the most money. It’s all about making lots of money now. That’s not how baseball is supposed to be. Baseball is supposed to be available for everyone.

When each school only gets 500 tickets, they all go to families, boosters, and students. Charles Schwab seats 24,000, I don’t know why only save 4% of the seats for the schools. Should be at least 20%.

ESPN has a separate deal with the NCAA to cover most of the major championships excluding football and men's basketball. That deal only pays $34M a year. Total. That covers baseball, softball, women's basketball, volleyball, etc.

Individual schools/conferences aren't making money off the CWS.

for the last several years, the NCAA has been pushing a corporate agenda for ALL National Championship events. It’s no longer about affordable entertainment for a fans wanting to witness their team compete for a championship. The NCAA has sold out to big businesses who keep writing 6-figure checks for suites, tickets, and advertising. If you don’t have connections, you’re gonna pay giraffe pussy prices for tickets

I get Omaha and that fanbase made the CWS but schools allotment should be a lot more these days when you look at what Miss St, Ark, and Ole Miss fans have done recently and what the LSU contingent that is on the way considering they haven't been since 2017.
No CWS game ticket is worth spending hundreds per ticket.

While the cheapest ticket for game 4 (LSU vs Tenn) is over $150, there are thousands of tickets available. What’s happening is that ticket holders are taking advantage of people who feel like they have to have a seat locked up before they go. Those prices are going to plummet before the game.

CWS is now corporate and big business. GA bleachers was a big part of the magic.

Are they still offering the GA tickets every day around 0900?

For the championship game I waited several hours but I was the fifth one in line and my nephew and I bough bouht four tickets that was enough for our extended group

Yep. People are very nervous to book hotel rooms/flights/make plans without tickets in hand and sellers are taking advantage of that.

No more GA tickets although there looks to be an SRO area behind the outfield on the seat map and I haven’t seen anything about those.

You will never see a ball caught in the outfield from SRO in outfield.

I believe, today's prices are out of reach for most families. A family of four staying from first game to last championship game would cost over $10,000 and that estimate is probably low.

Other than our desire to see LSU do great, why should we continue to donate. Especially, if we do not have an opportunity to buy a ticket when they do great (like play for a championship).

For the championship series, if LSU gets there, plenty of tickets will be available. The fans of the 6 eliminated teams will put them up for sale. Gotta move quick, tho.

Lol tickets to the participating teams are at an all time low. Everyone banking on what happened in 2017 or 20yrs ago are in for a surprise.

Do you think Championship series tickets are going to be hard to come by?
