Agree about changing coaches, in my opinion some of the negative fans know injuries have hurt this squad this season and are taking the negative route because CPM, Miles and O all got hammered and injuries, opt outs, drug suspensions etc. were not excusable.
Championship teams need healthy players and sometimes luck to win.

Without injuries this LSU basketball team would have 4 or 5 losses and no complaints.

I don’t understand why we need a Head Coach who needs an “Xs & Os guy” to coach the team. That makes Will Wade nothing more than a recruiter. This thought process has never made any sense.

Why do football teams have coordinators?
Thats makes the head coach nothing more than a recruiter.

Smh.

By no means am I saying I don't get frustrated with Wade sometimes. When he spent time arguing with the ref when Gaines got that stupid technical instead of reaming Gaines a new one I was absolutely dumbfounded he would do that regardless of how bad the calls may have been. That was a teaching moment to sit his arse down but he chose another route. That is, however, not an excuse to replace a coach. You just have to hope as Wade matures he learns there may be a better way to handle certain situations but NOONE complained about his offense till this year after he lost 3 players getting PT in the NBA. I expect a much improved offense next year with hopefully the same defensive intensity. We have the same offensive issues next year then maybe I'll listen.

Gaines was cheering with his bench mates and the player was slowly walking between. It appears that Gaines accidentally bumped him with emotion. It didn’t appear to be taunting. Not sure what the ref saw but WW was probably arguing this point

I hear you, but the true mark of a great coach is what they do with LESSER talent.

I made the same comments about football a few years ago, saying that any decent college coach can field a great defense if it's got NFL players all over it. But the true test is what a coach can do with lesser talent, whether due to injuries, suspensions, roster attrition, transfers, etc.

Now I'm not saying Wade should be fired -- far from it. But let's be honest - he's had great talent here (to his credit, he's brought them in) and most any coach can have a great offense with NBA players on the floor.

The true test is what a coach does when he doesn't have that elite talent. He's got to actually coach, doing tactical x-and-o work, to squeeze every drop of offensive production out of his less-talented team.

That's what I'm not seeing.

That's just not true. Gaines intentionally went up and chest bumped that player. It was stupid and he should have sat. We must have watched two different games.

Not to side with the morons who think everything outside of the Princeton offense is streetball, but they have been complaining even prior to this year.

Wade has his fan boys around here who’s only interest is in seeing to it that he gets good press and get an extension. They refuse to see anything other than the fact that lsu is better now than they were under the past 2 coaches. As if that is the objective…

Wade is a decent coach but he’s far from
Elite and frankly, I want an elite coach who can make this program perennial top 10 and championship contender.

Wade’s been here long enough to make this happen but he hasn’t been able to do it. He makes excuses…. Blamed referees and otherwise try’s to distract.

I’m fine if they want to hire a better coach.

Name the elite coaches.
Who wins without great talent.

Google Coach K and see his first three years, prior to Johnny Dawkins. Dawkins may still hold the scoring record at Duke.
After Dawkins he kept a roster of McDonalds All Americans.

Wade made a strong NIT team in first year with Jones leftovers.

Wade will has made NCAA caliber tournament team 4 years in a row (would have been in tourney in Covid year by bracketologists) counting this year.

It has been a long time (halcyon days of Brown in 80's and early 90's) since we've had this sustained success.

Wade will only continue to improve as will the Tigers if he is allowed to stay (decides to stay).

I'm sticking with Will.

Boot Up!!!!

LSU is not Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Gonzaga or any of the teams you’re comparing us to. You’re so ignorant you don’t realize even those teams don’t meet the standards you’re demanding here. If you want to get to that level or close you have to build a program and you can’t do that by firing coaches who are off to historical starts 5 years into their tenures. You don’t know what you’re talking about and couldn’t even name a single coach we could get who could do what you’re insisting.

im not a “fire Wade” guy, but damn, man.

There are 358 D-1 basketball teams.

Are you seriously saying there’s no better coach than Will Wade among 357 other D-1 coaches?

I never said that at all in fact. I asked him who he wanted. Pretty simple.

It wasn't a difficult question, he only had to name 1.

It may be difficult to name one that started his career upward so quickly.

Really, the team underachieved in 2019 when they made the Sweet Sixteen as a #3 seed and lost to a #2 seed?
