I’ve said multiple times he should be gone after this year if they don’t make the NCAAT.

Sorry for not giving up on this team after 1 game.

Oh no, you must love McMahon. Everyone knows this team doesn’t stand a chance after losing to Texas Tech!!

Unfortunately McMahon is just like Brian Kelly. He was successful in the previous conference he was in, but he just can’t hack it in the SEC. It’s too much for him.

I wish that was the only reason LSU was blown out.

I think he knows he's outmatched in the front court.

But, this team is in trouble if it doesn't defend the perimeter. It has been very good up until this game at defending on the perimeter.

I don't really have a problem with his comments.

Verge can spend the rest of the season evaluating who he might want next.

Florida just won the NC last season in Year 3 under Tim Golden. Golden was hired just a week or so before McMahon was 3 years ago. Compare and Contrast the two programs in Year 4. No more "Fire McMahon" posts until at least halfway through the SEC schedule. The basketball Pumptard MA's (The same pitiful bunch as in football) can Hope, Wish and Pray for McMahon all they want, but there's a 99% chance that he'll be gone after the season and we'll be in search of a new HC then. Yall keep an eye on NC State. Rousse was the President of McNeese when WW was the Head Basketball Coach at McNeese.

It is true. But they had many possessions at put backs or layups under pressure and made very few. Probably still lose but not by 25. The rim had a lid on it for our bigs. The SEC is won and lost on those close range under pressure shots. And the three point line. Have to,shoot well enough from three to be competitive. Then have to win inside battle

Sssssoooo, how do you explain that Texas Tech had more offensive rebounds than LSU did?

I didn't say shite about that suck arse performance.

Im saying missed shots all end in a rebound. Defense gets most of those. Therefore, bad shooting tends to lead to a rebound disparity

If we make 10 of those missed shots, thats 10 fewer rebounds they have an opportunity to grab.

Them having offensive rebounds usually means they are bigger, stronger, quicker (and coached better)

I got about three dozen down votes for saying Dedan Thomas was great, and would lead us to an NIT birth. Now I'm not even sure of that

I’m so tired of LSU Men’s basketball sucking. I remember the days when a NCAA Tourney bid was expected, now it’s a struggle to even be on the bubble.

By all accounts McMahon hasn't been a bad guy or an a-hole (like Kelly). Unless the players just hate him and would play much harder/better for the interim (which would be Patrick), you give McMahon and his team the respect of finishing out the season. CBB doesn't have the same calendar issues as CFB (or at least to a significant degree). So firing a guy midseason doesn't accomplish much.

I think after the game @Ole Miss will be McMahon's final game. If everything goes as chalk, LSU could be 4-5 in SEC play entering February. Then a 6 game losing streak vs UGA, vs Ark, @Tenn, @Texas, vs Bama, and @Ole Miss would be enough (4-11). If LSU wins vs Georgia that might buy him until the end of the season.

They don't have any players. The university is not investing as it should in basketball. Cant be good in all 3

This Max guy. I thought he was sooo good from the 3? Looks like he can't handle the pressure of SEC basketball and we haven't even started the SEC schedule.

After the 3rd game, I said, "This guy is the Nussmeier of LSU basketball."

Absolute 0% best chance scenario, LSU wins all of those and takes 1 game vs the top half of the SEC and we're looking at 10-8 and dancing!

That would be 8-10, not 10-8

With the SEC not as strong after team 5/6 and the weak non conference schedule, it will take 9-10 wins and a win over SMU to get in.

Beating Miss St, Georgia, Aggie x2, Mizzou, Oklahoma, and South Carolina won't be enough.

If they lose to SMU, finish non conference 11-2 and go 8-10 with a final record of 19-11, it looks good on paper, but the quality wins won't be there. They will be on the bubble left out

Similarly to Kelly, he had a better roster than 90% of the teams they faced each season

They both got exposed when facing better competition. Although I'm not sure Kelly was really exposed, it was well known he was horrific in big games
