“LSU is only losing one defensive lineman off last year’s team: Ed Alexander, who opted to turn pro. Of the six defensive linemen who made up the playing rotation the other five are all coming back. Additionally, LSU has four others who redshirted in 2018, giving Orgeron nine returning defensive linemen. Then there’s Evans, who at 6-3 and 305 pounds was all-district, all-area and all-state, has two cousins who combined to play two dozen years in the NFL, is a reigning state champion shot-putter and whose play at Haynesville this year was nothing short of dominant from what we’re told by friends up there. Then Orgeron went out to Salt Lake City and locked down one of the best nose guards in the country in Siaki “Apu” Ika, a 6-3, 380-pound behemoth who was dominant in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio last month; Ika, who is already on campus, needs to lose a good 40 pounds before he’ll be college-ready, but unlike with Sopsher nobody doubts his toughness and work ethic.“

Bama signed 8 elite DL in 2019. We signed 1.
2020 depth at DL will be bad.
We signed 1 DL in 2018. Bama signed a bunch again.

No one is worried about next year.

It won't be until 2020 when the depth issues start to manifest.

That is like bullshite man. LSU signed five defensive tackles. Two moved to Oline leaving three DT's - all redshirted. One or both that were moved to offense can move back if needed.

You will get downvoted, but it's true. Bama signed more 4* DL this class than LSU will have on the roster in 2020.

Screw that guy. Just a list of excuses all the way up to Edwards. Then he basically bashes LSU fans left and right.

He then says all our guys need to trim some weight and we could be better than bama.

If LSU signs a very good Dline class next year this will not be a problem either.

Getting Michael Williams is a big deal that no one seems to recognize because he doesn't bring any "stars."

He is wrong about 2018, but has a point.

He's a nice bonus but he's still a guy we didn't deem worth serious consideration just 12 months ago.

Oh? So experience doesn’t matter now? I was assured that experience was key and one of the main reasons our lines were so bad this year.

Experience only matters when they need to blame something other than coaching.

But LSU still has a lot of depth going into next season even though Bama has stockpiled their DLine again. You lose Alexander who I was hoping would come back, but Fehoko returns and then you have Shelvin, Cotton, Jenkins, Livingston, Siaka, Evans and Logan and Farrell who can swing both ways. That's a shite load of talent, you just wanna make sure you load up good next year with Guillory and Camron Jackson coming in and keep Bama away from them, also, get McKinley Jackson back in the fold along with others and they'll be fine.

Losing Sopsher was a loss I guess, but no one expected them to get the Siaka kid, I know I didn't. To tell you the truth I'd rather him than Sopsher because I think this Samoan kid is a stud and powerful and will be more effective than a Sopsher.

You thought our DLine was "bad" this year?
