MacKinnon is the Nussmeier of the Basketball team.

No Confidence at all.

One game wonder.

He isn’t “going through it” he is an average shooter. He shot 40% in the WCC. He is going to be a 33% 3P shooter in the sec. So he can’t play D and doesn’t shoot well, what is he doing playing 30 minutes?

we lack the offensive scheme to set him up with clean catch and shoot threes. his shot creation is lacking compared to his catch and shoot ability, and it will be even harder for him to shot create against sec competition.

toppert would have a field day calling plays for mackinnon

Mwoko
Thomas
Sutton

All need to play 30 mins a game, right? That’s the big three on this team.

I predicted 68 points…YIKES

I still stand by, the fact you can’t just keep playing bad teams. There is no way you can be focused coming into your 4th straight joke game. And defense is where the hustle and desire is effected the most

What are you even talking about 40% is a really good shooter. He hasn't made a 3 since the first game of the season even with wide open looks...that's going through it.

I softly disagree on Mackinnon. He’s had some wide open looks — I mean stop, set and shoot with no one in his face — tonight in the first half and missed em.

That’s could be just the streak or lack of confidence. Who knows? Too early to tell

I think load management for them now is fine in these types of games. But yea, in bigger games, those guys will need to be 30+ mins

Team was awful last year talent wise. Nobody but Cam could score

we did not know how to call plays for our players. cam just had to get it out the mud

jordan sears was one of the best catch and shoot 3pt shooters in the country at ut martin yet we never ran any plays for him to get catch and shoot threes.

(sidenote i think last years team was not that bad and just grossly underachieved)

That's fair. I also think last year's team looked completely different after Reed got hurt. It was the first time a MM team looked like it might develop an offensive identity, but unfortunately, that identity was centered around Jalen Reed.

And our defense is really slowing them down like you said.

The absolute worst takes, its actually impressive.

last game he was doing a lot of goofy shite trying to create his own shot. whether or not he's missing, 80% of his shot diet should be catch and shoot threes, or handoffs, or coming off of a pin down

I think the plan is to have Reed in the starting lineup by SEC play.

I like what I'm seeing from Sutton, Nwoko, and Dedan Thomas. Especially Sutton.

agreed. once jalen got hurt mcmahon was kinda clueless with the lineups. playing dji bailey at pf and stuff like that

His passing is his best attribute

He is a liability defensively

Why? He isn’t good enough to be a starter in the SEC. Miller should be developing with this schedule but instead he’s playing Tamba who will not be able to play big minutes vs SEC competition.
