It is what it is, it isn’t about the specific game or score.
Arkansas almost lost to samford and about to lose to Winthrop. Auburn went to OT vs Bethune Cookman
But the point is, to me, I can see Tampa is not SEC. Mackinnon is so unathletic and does do much. Nwoko scores 29 in 20 mins. What? He should have played 26 and scored 40. He has yet to play more than 20 mins and is our best player. Ron Zipper is legit Mackinnon if not better yet Mackinnon is playing the 3rd most minutes and Zipper plays none. It does not make sense
Tamba had no teams after him. He was supposed to be a depth guy and McMahon is playing him more minutes than our leading scorer. We paid Miller almost $1mil to stay because so many teams wanted him, but he and Nwoko have played 5 minutes the entire season together. It is beyond frustrating because it isn’t about competition, this is what we should get used to, and it will cost us games

Sutton basically never plays the 4 because we are tied to 4 other bigs. Tamba should barely play, Reed is playing at 80%. Nwoko needs 28 mins, miller needs 25, Sutton 34 and split the 3 and 4. Let Reed play remaining minutes. Tamba is fine but he isn’t going to do shite vs real teams. Thomas 32 mins with Reece the other 8. MacKinnon and King split reps then if Sutton plays 4 bring zipper in some at 2 and king at 3, sprinkle in Carter if need be.

mcmahon always has a player (or two) that he's seemingly infatuated with and gives a shite ton of minutes unnecessarily. i think tamba will be that player.

I guess the plan is to start:
Reed
Nwoko
Sutton
Mackinnon
Thomas
Sutton and Reed could go 1v1 depending on the defense, and Thomas can create.
If Max doesn't recover (plenty of time) we have King and Carter behind him, plus Zipper and Mosely. SG is the least of my worries.

This is the second straight game where the 3 point shooting was bad, but otherwise this was a very Wade-esque performance offensively. Make a high % of 2’s and shoot a gazillion FTs
Defense was a concern coming into the season and things are getting worse with each game. You HAVE to have balance to be a good team. Nwoko and Sutton, who have been better than expected, aren’t going to be able to bully SEC frontcourts all game, every game. You have to have something else to rely on when the shots aren’t falling. The best teams that can win anywhere usually have great defenses.
