GREAT pick-up by Rosenthal on the corner blitz around the 9:00 mark!! He made that play happen.

I thought Myles played well but he still played against MSU, Vandy, and Missouri

the two attributes that you described for him are already better than Brennan at 18 years old. Brennan has a better arm but also has happy feet and a soft body. He’s reached his potential and that potential is putting up great stats and losing 2/3 games against bottom feeder SEC teams. Ride with the young gun

All of this. It sucks cause he waited his turn and has just had some bad luck. If the coaches want to give him another go round to go out on top and improve his draft chances, fine. But he should have the shortest of short leases.

As the other poster said it's a good problem to have going into the year.

I’m just glad Callaway is still here to continue coaching him up ... they’ve obviously got a long history and a strong bond they can keep building on.

Brennan can run just fine when needed. Major misconception of his game.

We had 1st and goal at the 1 with 4 plays and not one was a sneak

Tells you everything about him as a runner

When will they STOP saying he is from Athens GA.
He is not from Athens GA. He is from Watkinsville GA. Which yes is next door to Athens but I assure you two COMPLETELY different counties on MANY levels......

Its like being from Denham Springs and saying "I am from Baton Rouge"

Get it right ESPN !!

(Sorry Pet peeve for any of us who live in Watkinsville/Oconee country people always say we are from Athens)

Brennan played fine, but going 1-2 against Ms state, vandy, and Missouri does not qualify as “simply balling” by any means.

Brennan lost to moo state and mizzou with opportunities to win
While this is true, if Mr. Pelini has any type of defense, we scored more than enough to win, plus it was his first start, the mizzou game was when he was injured, and once again, if we had any decent defense, we win!! If brennan is healthy, he will be your starter, and to be honest, if Max beats him out, even better for Lsu, cause at end of the day im a Lsu fan!!!

I get what you’re saying but if I am from Denham Springs and I am talking to someone that doesn’t know much about Louisiana I would say I’m from the Baton Rouge area just to save time in having to explain where Denham Springs was.

Yes. TJ's TD:INT ratio of 2:1 his senior year vs Max's 6:1 shows TJ makes better decisions and has more potential. I bet he corrected those INT issues his freshman year last year.

True but we are also going to be back to the backup being the best quarterback on the roster for half the fan base. The more things change the more they stay the same.

That should have been expected considering how long he’s been in the program and that he had a year longer with the playbook snd overall offensive system. And Myles is a really talented QB. I think a lot of our fans don’t see it because of how good Joe was in 2019. No one can follow that act.

I really like Brennan and was very impressed with the way he bounced back from a bad first half vs State. That said, he’s going to have a fight on his hands to start in 21, especially if he isn’t healthy enough to practice in the spring. Johnson has good mechanics, he’s smart and he’s mobile enough to make a defense pay.

If the new staff turns him loose, I think Johnson is capable of putting up similar or better stats than Brennan if he can get more control on his deep balls. It isn’t that he has no arm strength. He just doesn’t have the same accuracy and consistency going long that he has on the shorter throws yet. If Max improves that over the off-season, then Myles may not get the job back.

Throw in Nuss as an EE and you have the biggest and best LSU QB battle in over a decade. That’s good for us no matter who wins out.
