Listening to College Sports Radio on Sirius. I actually do like Leinart on the afternoon show. Caller just asked him why he and other USC guys never acknowledge LSU as Champions in 2003.

Leinart said he does know it's a shared title, but it's still a national title. Said it was the BCS' fault for Oklahoma getting in. He the. Said that if USC had gotten to play LSU, they would have "whipped LSU's A-S-S. He said he's told Marcus Spears and any other LSU player from that team the same thing.

He still thinks they were better than Texas when Texas beat them, so who cares what that crybaby idiot thinks?

USC would've gotten more of a fight from Michigan if Michigan would've had a shot at a title. I don't think that USC team even played a ranked opponent that year.

And I'm sure every LSU player on that '03 team says they would whip USC's arse...

This is the one match-up I've always been frustrated we never got to play. It would have been a helluva game.

Lavalais would have eaten their lunch. That defense was elite. USC played nobody in '03. Also we know now they ran a dirty program and cheated wildly in recruiting among other things.

I thought USC was still the better team and the coaches drastically let them down. The scheme was really stupid for the USC defense. That is on top of Pete Carrol screwing up not having Bush in as atleast a decoy at the end of the game.

They may be the only fanbase more delusional than alabama. On their 30 for 30 they said USC was the most dominant team in the BCS era...
They won ZERO BCS championships!
frick them

No we don't know that. We know that they let agents around their program and one of them gave Reggie Bush a bunch of money, but there were never any recruiting issues brought up by the NCAA.

Because THE NCAA DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ILLEGAL RECRUITING. If it doesn't involve an agent, they don't want to hear about it.

USC was better than Texas.

However, that 2003 USC team wasn't near as good as either of their teams the next two seasons. I'm sure Leinart would even tell you that.

LSU and USC would have been a great game that year. If LSU would have had badly timed turnovers against USC like they did against Oklahoma, I don't know if we would have been able to win the game. But I think if we played our best game against their best game, we win.

Dude, our defense could have held them to a minimum number of scores. USC defense that year was ranked very low, LSU could have easily scored on USC.
