Why would he not?

I think what he was trying to say is that even if Aranda is looking for a job next season, it’s more than likely that House will still be at LSU.

I can’t see him being made the HC at Michigan State. They’re more than likely looking for someone who has experience as a head coach.

That’s just my worthless two cents.

I will say though, if there’s an opportunity to bring Aranda back, bring him back.

I just think it’s unlikely that House gets that head coach position. But crazier things have happened.

The chicken or the egg

Is Aranda a great defensive coach with good players
or
Is Aranda a mediocre defensive coach with mediocre players

Point being is the LSU defensive performance now on House or do we need to build this team with better players.

Aranda is not a proven recruiter

He has proven to be nothing more than average.

Stats would actually say he's well below average.

Been saying it for awhile, he's spending too much time looking for a job vs where to play perkins.

We were all ready to fire him after the Tennessee debacle and the first half vs ole miss last year and then he was phenomenal from there out.

Have you forgotten the A&M disaster?

Baylors defense is abysmal this year.

But Aranda has years of excellent results at LSU and I’d be more than happy to accept him back. He’s proven himself here.

I don’t think he shite the bed. I think Baylor tied his hands too much with recruiting. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone else didn’t give him a shot at HC first.

I wouldn't mind going after Muschamp or Glenn Schumann. I'm sure one of them would prefer dropping the "co-DC" title and running their own defense.

I don't think MSU hires House anyway. I think Narduzzi would be a more likely choice. Elcko is doing to well at Duke right now so I suspect he's fine where he is.

His defenses have given up:

40 to Tennessee
35 to an awful UF team
38 to an awful A&M team
50 to UGA
45 to FSU
31 to a mediocre Arkansas

That's 6 games giving up 30+ points in the last 13.

Take out Ole Miss, Arky last year on an ice rink, Purdue with their top players out, Grambling, and MSU's disaster of an offense this year, and he has not held a legit offense down in the last 13 except maybe Ole Miss last year, which is debatable with how bad they finished the year.

He is overrated by a ton, and refuses to adjust to his talent. He's also not a very good recruiter it seems.

If you're suggesting Aranda is gonna hold out for another HC offer, I hope he's got some money saved up.

No he wasn't.

50 to UGA, 38 to freaking 4-7 A&M, 35 to a losing UF team, 45 to FSU, and 31 now to a mediocre A&M. He was in no way "phenomenal. Outside of the Bama and Ole Miss games, he was awful.

I mean… that’s not exactly insane in todays game. considering what he inherited.

It seemed, at least so far, that he made more changes at halftime last year to adjust to what the offense was doing

This year has been mostly the opposite. LSU hasn't been that bad in the first half. It's the second half where they have fallen apart.
