Tyler Wilson has a weak arm too

Highly doubt he'll start over Flynn barring injury. He's no Russell Wilson

Jaws also said Aaron Brooks could make all the throws including all the "Stick throws" the Saints needed. Went on to say that for the first time the Saints had themselves an NFL QB.

We all see how that turned out.

Flynn showed glaring inconsistencies, finishing the preseason with 204 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Didn't Flynn have an "under the radar" injury during preseason?? I have a vague recollection of an elbow issue or something. Or am I imagining having read that?

those preseason stats reminded me that Flynn would have had about another TD and 50 yards passing if Terrell Owens hadn't dropped a perfectly thrown ... deep ball.

He could. Brooks threw for over 20,000 yards in his career. Flynn has started 2 games.

Hopefully Flynn can get the protection he needs from the Raiders OL to allow him to be a decent QB for the Raiders.

Although I like Jaws, he is generally wrong over 50% of the time. The game has passed him by.

Flynn is here all the time throwing to LSU players in the off season, like the poster stated. So highly possible that Sheppard caught a few balls from Flynn.

I am old enough to remember watching Jaworski play...not because he was so good, but because of my old man's incessant Polish jokes throughout the game.

Didn't Jaworski have like one good year in a 15 year career? He went to one Super Bowl and now he gets to have an opinion.

Anyone agree? He certainly doesn't have ZM arm strength but neither does Romo, Kolb, etc. What does the Rant think?

Wouldn't shock me if Tyler Wilson beats him out.

Matt hasn't proven himself yet. I don't have a problem with anything Jaws said. Matt has some work to do.

You've got one and you probably only played tiddly winks in the back yard. I would think that a 15 year NFL career and a Super Bowl as a QB would give one the experience needed to have an opinion on a QB, whether one agrees with that opinion or not.

Pretty much.

He's not impressed. What's the big deal? Flynn helped us win a MNC and he was a class act. I'm a fan. None of that has anything to do with his arm strength or overall potential in the NFL.

I didn't think arm stregnth was the end all be all for QB play?

Couldn't agree more. Some of the best QB's in the pros make a living off the out route. But regarding arm strength and defenses playing so tight, arm strength to zip it in such a short window is a necessity. I think that is why Jamarcus (hopefully) *may* get another shot.

Either way, it's up to Flynn to prove he should be a starter b/c TWilson is on his heels.

Appreciate the commentary guys
