Mason will be a great TE in the NFL. Glad for him! Thanks for the winning catch against BAMA.

55 catches and 600 yards

How much more did you want out of him?

He was the only target that Nuss trusted down the field for the majority of the SEC schedule.

Great Tiger... He was so fun to watch at LSU. He'll play in the NFL for many years.

We used him a lot… he was basically a safety net in our offense the last 3 years. That’s basically where he’s good at. Not a guy that’s going to stretch the field or make things happen in space, so he was basically used how he should be.

Will be hard to beat the atmosphere of Tiger Stadium with him and Jayden's 2 point conversion vs Bama.

I feel like we never used him as much as we should.

He was a weapon and he sorta was always just a safety option vs trying to get him the ball.

obvious exceptions not withstanding

Too many questions and unknowns surround this team for any top 4 round projected guy to come back and risk it.

I don't think that is 100% true. But in Taylor's case the question was probably how much more could he improve his draft stock by coming back vs. the risk of injury (he played through injury from start to finish last year).

TE is not one of the high value positions in the draft like QB, pass rusher, tackle, CB. That means even if he had a good year next season it was not a lock that would push him into the first round. So if the odds are you likely won't be a first round pick even if you return and have a good season, why not just make the jump now and avoid the risk of another year in college? That evaluation doesn't come out the same for all positions. But for Taylor at TE I get it.

I thought this was a foregone conclusion. He’s been NFL ready for two years.

I never got the impression from his interviews that he just loved LSU or being here. It was more about getting to the league ASAP. Which is fine. I expected him to be a 3 and out guy barring some crazy circumstances.

Anderson (done), Nussmeier, Emory Jones would all be huge.

I was hoping he would replace Ertz in Washington.

Among TEs on P4 teams, Taylor had the 4th most targets. Just three behind Colston Loveland.
