Give the Florida fan base another year. If the man goes for another .500 season or even an 8-4 season, they will be calling for his head.

a. There was a contingent of idiots who thought he was the second coming of Jesus Christ himself. The overlap in this population and the "one of us" O loyalists was crazy, so you do the math. b. Napier tried the same underhanded moves to sell future access to media members to have them trumpet his cause to the fanbase. Glen Guilbeau, Cullota, etc. clearly were receiving something from Napier to promote him. O did the exact same shite in 2016 to shed the interim tag. Having the same people who promoted O, promoting Napier to replace O, creates clear warning signs. And those people in a were DEVOTED.

There was also a contingent campaigning for him. Topic after topic saying he was the only real choice. It was organized and orchestrated, on this board

Will never understand the twisted psychology of LSU fans who feel the need to simp for Billy Napier

Leave Napier alone. He's a good coach. His first year at ULL they went 7-7. In his fourth they went 12-1 (8-0) and were in the top twenty. Will he be the answer at Florida, that remains to be seen but judging him after just one year is unfair.

I understand why people are bringing him up. There was a noticeable lobbying effort for him on this board, an effort that was disproportionately high given that he was a Sun Belt coach and this would be his first power 5 job.

It is strange.

Personally, I find it hilarious when coaches that go to rival teams fail miserably.

There's no world where Napier would be on Woodward list of candidates. It's not his MO

Nevertheless there were still dumbasses who would be taken Napier over Kelly and Riley. It's insanity

And the Napier contingent is here saying leave him alone, when we all know that if it were reversed, if Napier was on his way to the SEC Championship and BK was crapping the bed they'd all be piling on.

Not once in the last year have I thought about creating a Billy Napier thread, can't say the same for the majority of TD posters

That’s stupid! There are gazillions of TD posters, and only a dozen or two have started threads on Napier. Like you, I haven’t. And I think he might work out well for Florida.

Are you prepared to declare the Napier era at UF a failure?

I may have to make a spreadsheet

Even Saban had to start with a training-wheels in Michigan St. He was smart, he didn't start at a major program with expectations.

I'm thinking G5 to upper Power 5 doesn't have a very good track record.

So in BK's first year he beat Alabama and won the west. Will def play in a good bowl game, has a very talented class he's about to sign, yet this is best some of y'all can do?

In hindsight, Kelly swag beats the living shite out of camo shorts buzz cut combo.

But Napier is a solid coach and would have been alright if he hadn’t overreacted to LSU snub by forgetting to hire any staff to recruit his own school’s state.

At this point I think he may be f*cked.

I agree should wait another year for Billy. But honestly as an LSU fan why would I even care, though I want Florida to lose I get that. I definitely believe Our coach is 1000% better .
