LSU could beat the ‘85 Bears next week and Alabama would still be #1 when we play them, unless they lose before then.

No, LSU will not be #1 as long as Bama is undefeated.
Not only that, voters will keep LSU from #4 until after LSU edges Georgia, 27 to 24 on late 40 yard fg against the wind.
Beating Florida by a lot was done already by Kentucky. No one outside sec cares about #24 Florida. Crushing Florida is good but not great, nationally.
LSU is #6 in coach.
They will still be #6 until after Georgia unless teams in top 5 lose.

Notre Dame will have beaten Michigan and Stanford, Ohio State will have beaten TCU and Penn State. Oklahoma probably beats Texas.

Like I said, I'm kinda curious if Notre Dame jumps Clemson. They haven't looked impressive, and now they have QB questions.
But that's irrelevant in the long run, as the SEC teams will sort each other out.

Please God no. I want us to win every game and be ranked #2-#3 going into the Bama game. I may throw myself off a cliff if we are ranked ahead of them, lose and have to hear all of the “we had to restore order” bullshite again in my lifetime. I cringe just typing that out.
