The number one basketball player just committed to Texas how hard did we really recruit him given the fact of his dad’s legacy with Lsu Football.

At the time you had to start developing and cultivating relationships with these types of prospects, LSU men’s basketball was running a charity with a clueless leader who was grossly out of his element.

We didn’t stand a chance.

Will Wade was able to get in the door because it’s LSU, but no one realistically expected him to come.

No shite. It seems like just yesterday I was in the Dome watching Marcus Spears pick-6 Jason White.

ugh. How can you be mad at this…

Our Marcus would ultimately be a POS dad if he downplayed his son’s decision for not choosing the school he went to, so I completely get it.

No one's mad, and I get supporting your kid...just don't act like you bleed Purple and Gold anymore. It's ok, lots of people who graduated from LSU don't

His sister was the top volleyball recruit and goes to Texas and he’s been wearing Texas gear ever since.

He’s dad has said how the son wants to be at the same school since they are very close

Same attitude Verge took with his kids, the difference being that they grew up LSU.

At some point they need to make their own decisions.

If I got a lot of money to play at my home school, plus my dad played there and this is a legacy school in my situation, and Texas offered me a little bit more, that wouldn't be enough to sway me. So I don't mean to judge, make your money. But I just don't relate. I mean you're gonna get a butt load of money either way and one day you're gonna be a freaking multimillionaire in the NBA, and at the same time you get to play at your homeschool and your dad's school that he was a legend at,... anddddd you're getting paid.... I mean do you my man .. I'm not hating. I just don't relate.

Kid can do what he wants. I don't cared who his dad is, though: if you're not a Tiger, you're Tigerbait!
